Looking at the schedules of the #3 (Sonics) and #4 (Mavs), the Kings have it better the remainder of the year. Mavs and Sonics both play us on the road at Arco and they don't play each other.

(As of Sat 3/12/05) away games
Mavs 10 hm 11 away Min,GSW,Sac,Det,Bos,Phl,Cle,Sea,Por,LAL,Mem
Sonics 9 hm 13 away NYN,Chi,Det,LAL,Por,Mem,SAS,GSW,Sac,Den,Min,Dal,Hou
Kings 10 hm 9 away GSW,LAC,Den,Det,Cle,Por,LAL,Phx,Uta

(Standings Sunday morning 3/13)
San Antonio 47-15
Phoenix 47-15
Seattle 41-19 5-1/2
Dallas 40-21 7
-------------------------------------–
Sacramento 39-24 9
Houston 36-25 11
Memphis 35-26 12
Denver 31-29
Lakers 32-29
Minnesota 32-31 only one of these last 3 make the playoffs!

So, fasten your seat belts and lets see if the Three Musketeers (Skinner, Thomas and Big Nasty) can take us to the promised land. Hiyeeeee!! (Cow bell talk for an old surfers Cowabunga, Dude!!!)

I want the suns to have the #1 seed so that we could face them in the second round and beat them. We have a better chance beating suns than the spurs in the second round. Let us worry about the spurs in WCF. Kings will have to keep the 4/5 seed, it won't matter who has homecourt when kings and mavs play. We should be able to beat the mavs with miller and b-jax in the lineup.

I'd rather just finish as well as possible and not worry about matchups. We'll be underdogs in our first round series, it'd be a miracle if we put up any kind of serious fight against either Phoenix or San Antonio. We don't have Webber backing Marion into the paint now, that was our big advantage on Phoenix.

If the Mavs lose today and the KIngs win today, the kIngs will only be 1 game behind Dallas!! There is still a good chance to get the 4th seed!! :D

on paper we have the easier run in but we have to perform in these games. there is no point saying that we will win these games. the team has to pick it up and get a good run going into the playoffs to give themselves the best possible chance

Don't tell that to piski, he wouldn't agree with you. He would want Mavericks to win so T-Wolves don't catchup to the Kings.

Sonics have the hardest set of away games so hopefully they can drop some games which will allow us to catch them and possibly overtake them

Sonics have to lose SIX more games than the Kings between now and the ned of the year in order for us to pass them. Does not seem likely. Dallas is possible, but we're going to have our hands full trying to tread water let alone make up ground. Memphis/Houston are right there, and Denver is on fire and coming on strong.

The only bit of good news is that we own the tie breaker with Memphis and Denver. Also, if we beat Houston today we will have the tie breaker against them.

we can worry about the sonics, but our position in the playoffs wont be up to how well they do. the division champs get 1-2-3 seeds, and the sonics rnt in our div....im sure you know that, brick, but ya..... Kings biggest hope is the 4 seed, altho unless dallas drops to the 6, im not completely sure it will be that big of a difference if we hav home court or if they do in a series between us..... altho now that i think about it, perhaps the playoff series between dallas and sactown has always gone to the home team... ok so there goes that train of thot..thas ok
