The word you are looking for is abysmal.
at a certain point, people might just need to admit Monte is a really good GM. This was a great deal even before that last season was a team option

I hope he can shoot better than 35% from 3 if that's his only/main skillI just look at some of the contracts a bunch of role players signed this off-season...Vezenkov can easily lap all of them for 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost. Like the Median expectation of Vezenkov is very likely as good as Strus right?

THIS! If we really went for it, i have no doubt we would have won 50 + this past season. I have no doubt, if healthy, we'll certainly be capable of doing just that and not for just one year. I see us being perennial playoff contenders and participants like the Adelman days. Thanks for this summary.
I'd like to add just one point. The addition of shooters to the floor lineup does not result in diminishing returns, but exponential. Meaning, it's exponentially harder to cover three or even four shooters on the floor than it is 2.
The more shooters you have on the floor, the more shooters will be open. This may sound reductive or obvious, but it's key. You stretch the defense to the point of breaking. A lineup of Fox, Huerter, Keegan, Sasha, and Domas. I mean that's just nuts. You get done defenestrating the opposition with with the starting crew, and then you throw out Davion, Edwards, and Len to clamp down their bench crew while leaving a couple shooters on the floor.
Forget 40, this team has a chance to win 70. Since SLAB has been abducted and his AI replacement is the optimistic version, I'm sure he will agree.
I just want to see how Sasha plays on defense before I get excited about the prospect of him on the team. The gaping hole on this team is still defensive athletic length, so adding someone who is primarily on offensive player doesn't do it for me. His price tag is good, his ability to move without the ball is good. And his rebounding sounds good. But for me it's defense, defense and defense that I want to see from another forward/center on this team.
If this teams defensive issues are entirely personnel related it's just what it is. The great thing about how Monte has set himself up is that potentially he can reshape the roster to condense those productivity needs into 3-4 guys and fill out the rest of his roster with 3 and D players at some point. Let Murray, Barnes, Sasha, Huerter, and Monk battle it out and see who survives.
Does this mean we'll finally hear from Sasha himself? Been wondering why we haven't seen any interviews, especially at summer league while he was in attendance.
I mean he just walks into the NBA with one of the quickest releases right? This is absurd.

What did we have to give up in order to get this guy again?
EDIT:
Did we seriously get the Euroleague MVP for this? "The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded the draft rights to forward Sasha Vezenkov and are also sending $1.75 million to the Sacramento Kings for the 49th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft"
Michael Redd flashbacks
The Kings, on paper, would seem to be the perfect fit for Vezenkov to be able to play his game as is without trying to fit him into a role/play style that doesn't fit. He should be able to play to his strengths and contribute on both ends when given the chance. If 27 year old Belly had joined the kings as currently constructed (instead of the wolves) I wonder how different, if at all, his career would have turned out
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Barnes minutes go down this season, maybe significantly so especially towards the end of the season. Keegan will hopefully take a step or two forward and I do think Sasha will end up playing a larger role than anticipated. He may be finishing games for us instead of Barnes. The Kings, on paper, would seem to be the perfect fit for Vezenkov to be able to play his game as is without trying to fit him into a role/play style that doesn't fit. The signing of Vezenkov might be the most under the radar solid move of the offseason and at the most perfect time, too, for him and the Kings. On paper, he fits like a glove. I just wonder how the minutes are going to be distributed. Brown has a lot of toys to play with.
A lot will be determined by two things IMO. First, how well he can play team defense. If he is a huge liability, it will hinder his playing time. Second, will his rebounding translate? Historically, rebounding translates very well. The fact the he seems fundamentally sound should help a great deal. A good breakdown.
On paper he looks like a tremendous fit. His defense isn't the strongest 1v1 but in a team concept he knows where to be.He shot over 60% from the corner? That will translate.
He came over to late his best position was SF which he played until literally like 27, had he come over at like 22/23 I think it could have gone better but 27 for Bjelly and the NBA style of games was to late.If 27 year old Belly had joined the kings as currently constructed (instead of the wolves) I wonder how different, if at all, his career would have turned out

Yea it was super depressing watching him just stand in the corner with the Twolves, I think at that point he knew he made a mistake coming over. I think Micic could/will have a very similar problem in OKC where as Sasha should fit since he's a elite role player type/specialist .Also don't think Belly's playmaking skills were utilised that well. He had a stretch with us playing the five were he was super dynamic mini Jokic but the rest of his tenure it was stand 3 feet behind the line and bail us out with a deep shot after our dribble and watch offence fell apart.
Median? I’d say bottom floor. Like if his game just doesn’t translate well.
At 6-9 with his quick release, rebounding ability, and experience — his median expectation should be higher than Strus.
