I don’t get the slander when it comes to Doris Burke. It’s a national broadcast. Being that Mark Jones is our announcer he is going to be more for the kings, so to balance it out she is going to talk more about the Warriors. They both talked about the other team. We are so used to both announcers being on our side it may come as a shock that on national tv they promote both teams

To be honest you can’t really tell Jones is doing a national broadcast.

If this is a home game (assuming all factors remain the same), I have no doubt Kings will win it because the refs are not going to swallow their whistles seeing Sabonis falling down every time he drove to the paint. So, just based on the whistle alone, Kings would have fair better. The crowd would have chanted referees suck and will change the outcome of this game.

There was a blurb that they are putting feelers out that only Scottie is untouchable. That's rebuild vibes and it should be. That team is in the range where you don't want to be stuck at. They aren't close to that top 3 contender window and likely won't be with that squad. The Kings are one of the very few teams that could benefit from adding another all star level talent immediately while also putting together one of the future 1st and youth packages everybody wants these days.
I just think they need more shooting and a bench.

As far as a trade with the Kings, I’m not giving up Keegan for OG for a couple reasons: he isn’t signed long term and I don’t think he is enough of an upgrade to lose an upcoming cost controlled young player and dole out a huge contract for. Siakam you would have to at least consider because he could serve as a second scoring option and provide rim protection but his asking price is likely to be stupid.

Preferably would have put out Huerter, Barnes, Keegan, Monk and Fox and see who theyre going to leave open to double Fox
I just think you draw up an actual play there rather than going 1-4 flat. There's just a ton of things you can do to manufacture a bucket (all you needed was a 2). You can even put Len in to draw up an alley oop. With all the attention Fox is commanding there- there's just a lot you can do. Just felt like we went with Fox cause he's our star. Think of it like after any time out: most teams can draw up a play and get a bucket. We shouldn't feel beholden to going to Fox in a 1-4 flat in that situation. A better shot would have been something going to the basket.

Tough, tough loss. Sucks Barnes couldn’t hit the shot but we were lucky to be have a chance to win it at the end after Curry’s mistake. I was at the game, good amount of Kings fans there. Lots of “Sac-ra-men-to” chants and cheers after Kings makes. Not sure how it came across on TV but I’d say it was definitely a higher ratio of Kings fans today than Warriors fans at Game 1 or Game 2. Amazing performance from Fox, he was a true superstar out there.

Oh I believe we still have potentially a long playoff run, I just don’t believe we can win it all this year. Not trying to be defeatist….
Through this year I have no expectations up or down for this team. I think theres a ton of great teams out there but no one unbeatable. With the Suns you sorta expect them to choke at some point even with KD.

I don't have expectations of getting to the 2nd round even tho I think we can clearly beat the Warriors. The Celtics and Suns are teams I'd be worried about but I think if things go right over 7 games we can beat anyone. Even if smart money says we won't

I agree. Particularly because

1. only down 1
2. No incentive to run down clock especially since warriors have no timeouts. A quick shot would have been preferred in case miss.

It would have been a move for sure but Len is the best screen setter. Why not have Fox going downhill on a Len screen? Worst case scenario it’s a Fox floater or if they double Fox, Len gets ball rolling to basket for lay in & they wouldnt intentionally foul Len just up 1.

Just saying a long jumper is EXACTLY what warriors wanted and Kings gave them it. Little disheartening.

Per Brown the screen was Barnes's call on the court. Can't fault it when you get a good look but I do hate trying to shoot a 3 when all you need is two even going to the hoop and getting fouled you can tie and see OT.

But all you can ask for on the road against a team like the Dubs is a chance to win at the end. The real crime was game 3.

Case in point. Warriors had same opportunity game 1 and got 2 shots out of the deal. Wiggins 3 miss, then Curry missed 3. Two bites at the Apple because they didn’t wait till last second. We didn’t even have a chance for a rebound put back. Now that I’ve had time to think about this, that was not a good ending smh Dammit

I mean, I'm never complaining about a good 3pt shooter getting an open 3 in rhythm to win the game. GS crushed Fox's rhythm to get to his spot and he made the great decision to kick it.

Game was lost before that possession. We blew roo many opportunities that last 5 minutes
Yes you’re right, but when the opportunity knocks, you gotta take it. Curry was trying his best to sell the game.
Btw I’m sick of curry already. Even if they pull those out they running that old man to the ground. No way he can finish another series. They should just let us win, we have younger legs, we can carry the burden further

I’d have saved the time out. Drove straight to the basket make or miss you can either make the shot, get fouled get a rebound, or foul after a miss with one time out left to shoot a 3…again.

that’s 5 good things compared to 1 good thing

gotta play the odds. We didn’t, but again I’m satisfied with the decision
They are never going to call a foul for us driving to the hoop end of game scenario at Golden State. Barely called it during the game but for a potential win? I’d have a better chance winning the lotto than the kings getting that whistle on their home floor.

It’s very modern day ref like to be bigger than the game. I can def see them calling a foul to dictate the game. Either way worth a shot at a closer 2 point

Game was lost in the 3rd quarter the fact we didn't wilt and came back and had a shot will probably be a defining moment if we hold HCA on Wednesday and win the series.

The thing with Keegan is can he become that type of scorer on a nightly basis as is? Nope. Not in this role. Take that to the bank. He's too dependent on others to score and if he puts up one more season of 12 and 5 that's going to hamper his value even if he's capable of more with different usage. To me the package difference between OG and Siakam should be somewhat wide. If the Kings can put together a package for Siakam because they need that next production guy then Monte needs to be on it and this is coming from someone who was against Siakam trades in the past. Fox and Sabonis have been that good though. If this team were actually "young", which it's not, it's inexperienced, that would be one thing but once that cap starts to solidify major adjustments will be way more costly if possible at all. Fox/Sabonis are your untouchables. I'm not even sure what the Warriors are this season when it comes to the upper crust. They could be a championship caliber team, but also 1st/2nd round fodder so it's hard to guage so far. We'll find out I guess.

Here's what's wild about Doris, if you don't really watch the ESPN broadcasts unless the Kings are playing: every team's fans think that she's biased against them. Kings fans think that she's biased against them when they play the Warriors? Guess what, Warriors fans think that she's biased against them, when they're playing the Grizzlies. Grizzlies fans think she's biased against them, when they're playing the gd lakers. lakers fans think she's biased against them when they're playing the Nuggets, and on and on and on and on, forever and ever and ever. I don't think that there's a single fanbase in the NBA that doesn't believe that Doris is a homer for the other team, depending on who's playing whom.

Monk would’ve had Wiggins in his face after the pass. Barnes had a cleaner look, I believe
He would have had Wiggins jumping out of his shoes in panic mode, and a very quick up fake and slide to the left or right would have got him an open shot in rhythm. He had time to make an escape dribble then spot up.

I’d opt for that ALL day long over HB taking that shot.

I’ve never had an issue with Doris Burke. I don’t think she’s been as good in recent years as she used to be, but color me in with those not understanding all the hate.

Spot on. This is Fox's game 4 shot chart. He had a huge scoring game but was largely around the midrange. He wasn't scoring at the basket and he wasn't getting calls on drives either. It's a testament to how good this team is (and how much De'Aaron has diversified his game) that we almost stole this game in those circumstances

The Kings played well. Well enough to beat most teams except those that can still shoot the crap out of a basketball.
Great to see Murray back.
The Kings are deep which helped us a lot today.
Both teams held serve now we just have to win at home twice.
