G-League
Kenyon Martin, Eduardo Najera
for
John Salmons, Kenny Thomas, Shareef Abdur Rahim

It's a very risky trade, but Kenyon Martin can bring to the team some needed things: very good defender, energy, athleticism, some blocks... It can turn into something like the Nene thing, he was available for expirings and now his value is much higher; but in this trade instead of expirings we unload bad contracts and get the expiring of Najera too, who can be a good back up PF.

The trade would make more sense for the Kings if we draft a SF next week, because then Douby/Garcia/Jeff Green or Julian Wright is enough for the back up PG/SG/SF.

Miller/Williams
Martin/Najera
Artest/(Jeff Green?)
Martin/Garcia
Bibby/Douby/(Price)

For Denver, they get a useful SG, and turn Kenyon's contract into two shorter ones. They'd need to trade some of their PFs, or maybe other team involved (f.e. Houston get SAR for Sura and Snyder or Spanoulis, Denver get a SG+decrease their salary waiving Sura). They would have pieces to complete their team with other trades, without using the MLE or adding more salary.

If Kenyon was healthy he'd be a great fit here but he's not and we're rebuilding so we don't need/want him+his huge contract.

I actually think that Salmons is going to turn out to be a pretty solid role player, Im not interested in this trade at all.

Why would the Kings want two injured/recovering players? They may as well pick up C-Webb, Peja, and BJax if they make this deal.

Not sure if taking Kenyon for KT and SAR stops the rebuilding. And we get a expiring for Salmons+make room for Douby/Garcia and maybe Jeff Green. It's taking a huge contract for a declining player (SAR) and a untradeable useless PF (KT). At least if it goes good, the trade can turn into a steal. See Nene when he was available for expirings or Carlos Boozer being shooped 1 1/2 year ago for example.

SAR is decent off the bench. and much better than a guy with one leg. If we trade we denver i want us to get marcus camby in return. Justin Williams can learn from him and i can see j will becoming a player like camby. Camby can start and cover up for millers lack of defense.

how much longer is kenyons contract? it might be a blessing in disguise if its like 2 yrs. we can bundle all of our bad contracts into 1 huge expiring. if its 2 yrs or less it might be worth it. if he is injured it will allow our young players to get more minutes ;)
