Psycologically speaking, we just got the number 1 pick. Talk about a kid who will be mentally tough. With experience like that, he probably treats relationships with peers differently than others would. Like glue, he might have developed the ability to make people stick together out of a perceived need to stay emotionally engaged. His extra attention to detail could also help with his game. Walter Hermann went through something comparable to what Greene went though. Walter is now being used by Detroit to enhance and stabilize the emotion of the team. Greene is a rookie, who wants to prove something to the NBA. His emotional ability might account for his talent from behind the arc. If he does have ice in his veins, is it easy to distract him? You can have all the clutch ability in the world, but if you can't make a jumper when someone taunts you, clutch becomes moot. So, is he weak or strong, like a rock or liquid, all heart or all head? Being traded seems to have had no effect on him. Lets see what benching does, and when he gets PT, then we should know in the first minute who he really is. He is talking the talk of a man who is...a man. being all open to the media about his life is a sign that he is trusting, and willing to looked at. So he is not shy and in the NBA that means alot...Consider Peja, shy MF, but a few bad shots at bad times made him fetal. Peja aside, Greene has as good a chance as any rookie to make a large impact.

great assessment! I like this kid already...the talent is there, it just depends on how much he wants it. You need mental toughness and self-confidence in order to be a great player...which (as I agree with you also) Peja lacks. Funny how Peja and Greene are the same height too at 6'9" playing small forward. At that height, he shouldn't have any problems getting his shot off.

Honestly. I am talking out of my 3~. But he has a 5% chance of being all that he can be. or in other words, he's not a franchise player.
