1-Year Bird Must receive consent to trade players with a 1-year contract, excluding options, who will become Early Bird or Bird free agents at the end of the contract, or players who have accepted a qualifying offer for a 5th season following the 4th option season on the Rookie Scale. If the player consents, he will lose his Bird rights and become a non-Bird free agent at the end of the contract.

The only reason I wouldn't take Q.Rich and Lee is because we want Noah for his age and position and Smith for his contract. We have Garcia and Salmons to play SF and that allows us to get rid of Bibby and K.T. if we want in another deal. This just solves are PF issue which we need badly.

Im sorry but I dont like it. I dont like getting rid of Justin. And I dont like gettin Noah and Smith. I would maybe like it If we got what Chicago got.

Sorry but just not a good trade.

So the Bulls get David Lee in return for an over-the hill Joe Smith??? How about Ben Wallace for Dwight Howard while they're at it?

The only way David Lee gets traded is if Isiah gets fired. But even if that happens the new GM/Pres would probably wait til the off-season to wheel and deal knowing this is a lost season so why rush into anything and screw up too much too fast. A new hire thinks of first impressions and job preservation as much as anything, mind you.

The arguement could be well maybe Isiah will get desparate and change his mind. For most people that could be true. But Isiah is too bull-headed, and egocentric to reconsider what could be a good deal.

In terms of straight up talent: Artest >>>>>> Lee; though Lee's skills as a player ar far from maximized. No plays are ever run from him. He basically is a garbage, opportunistic player who has not reached his potential.

He'd be perfect on the Kings.

I agree that Artest is much better then most of these players if not all but I did this for the sake of the PF position and for some reason the Kings are in a rush to get rid or Ron-Ron. I think the team now (healthy) is the best in the West. I know that sounds nuts but they really are talented and got what it takes to beat any team.
