Press Release - Milwaukee Bucks forward Andrew Bogut, the first overall selection in the 2005 NBA Draft, and Orlando Magic forward Dwight Howard, the first player chosen in the 2004 NBA Draft, lead a list of 19 players selected to play in the 2006 T-Mobile Rookie Challenge on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Toyota Center in Houston.

Joining Bogut on the Rookie team are Luther Head of the Houston Rockets ; Danny Granger and Sarunas Jasikevicius of the Indiana Pacers ; Chris Paul of the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets; Channing Frye and Nate Robinson of the New York Knicks ; Charlie Villanueva of the Toronto Raptors ; and Deron Williams of the Utah Jazz .

Teaming with Howard on the Sophomore team are Emeka Okafor of the Charlotte Bobcats , who is injured and will not participate; Luol Deng, Ben Gordon and Andres Nocioni of the Chicago Bulls ; Devin Harris of the Dallas Mavericks ; T.J. Ford of the Milwaukee Bucks ; Nenad Krstic of the New Jersey Nets ; Jameer Nelson of the Orlando Magic and Andre Iguodala of the Philadelphia 76ers .

Teams look as expected, but kinda surprised to see Sarunas on there and not Felton. Okafor's latest set-back will have someone replace him, shame his year isn't going well.

I predict Howard or Deng gets MVP :)

As always, excited for this game

Apparently, since he never actually got on the court last year, then he is, in fact, a "sophomore."

Sucks for Martin, though...

That's fixed?

And your data's bad; Ford played most of his rookie season, but he missed all of what should have been his sophomore season, due to his spinal injury.

Iguodala goin' OFF. I keep loving this guy everytime I see him. Unless someone else gets going well on Sophs (assuming they win) other than Gordon, Andre will get MVP. Still going with him or Nate winning the slam dunk contest. Should be goodness

I'd say Paul is MVP for rookies so far, dishing out very well, and has scored a few times. Maybe Bogut or Villanueva also.

Iggy has had 8 dunks (not all of his points), 4 threes (hit three in a row at one point), with 30 pts, 6 boards, a number of steals, and to add, has looked very into it and taking the spotlight for Sophs.

Surprisingly, Dwight Howard's been pretty quiet so far.

What a great way for Iguodala to really prove himself, he took the game over in the 2nd half, thus got the MVP. 30 pts (9 dunks, 4 threes), 6 boards, 3 ast, at least 3 stl. Awesome night for him!

Dwight didn't get much going, but did some nice stuff.

106-96, final score, Sophs win. Was a good game, pretty entertaining.
