Ron on pti right now

"I'm not some knuckle head nutcase, I'm ron artest"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH

of course you're not, Ron!

As talented as Artest is its a shame he refuses to grow up. Does anyone remember the chappelle show skit "when keeping it real goes wrong"

YES!!!!

Seriously, I think after put up a persona then continue to push against the grain in spite of people, there is a point of no return. There is a piont where you have to continue acting that way to save face or else you admit by default that you were wrong the whole time if you change the way you act, or your stance. I think that's where Ron is right now.

He seemed real excited to be leaving Sacramento......is it really that bad here

I don't think it has anything to do with the city itself. It's about not wanting to be where you're not wanted. I think that was the primary motivation in him asking to leave Indiana as well.

Ok, so I was holding my breath when I saw this title. Did we manage to survive another landmine in this interminable two weeks? Ron looked the fool but did not say anything so bizarre as to make the Rockets wise up right?

naw nothing really brick. Just that he thinks he should be houstons franchise player

Haha j/k

Despite the crooked tie, he didn't say or act anything crazy. He even DODGED a playoff or championship prediction!

And you guys say he's not growing up.

Best quote from the interview:

"Everything I do is not right." Haha, I know that's not what he meant but it is kind of funny.

So now he dresses nice lol

Love how he says "With the addition of Ron Artest"

I'm not gonna lie this guy is still in my top 10 in favorite players.

P.S. I think he reads this site do you agree

You know, it's really a relief to not worry about what latest inanity will be spewing from Ron Artest. Let him be the Rockets' problem from now on.

As far as whether or not he reads this site, we know he reads some message boards and we know this is the most popular Kings site on the Internet, so I'd think it's quite possible.

I hope he does read it. There are some very good pieces of advice sprinkled throughout the myriad of threads devoted to him. The main one? QUIT FREAKING PUTTING YOUR BUSINESS ON THE STREET!!!! Quit calling Sam Amick and other members of the media.

Good luck in Houston.

Buh-bye, Ron!

can we move this where it belongs ? - away from Kings section - in the NBA forum

Until the trade actually goes down on Aug. 14, it's right where it belongs. Sorry, piksi - he's still a member of the Sacramento Kings. The countdown continues...

Im sure he reads the forum some of his comments match up with posts that have been made right here on the threads. I can remember one where he commented on one of my posts on the carmichael dave show.

After Yao's tangent, I feel secure that it is not an issue for them. If Houston management is not already aware of how this works, they have been living under a rock. They know Adelman (funny I put RA first and realized that it might be confused with Bill) will make it worth at least 1 season.

Just wait until he starts making noise about his contract not being extended.

that was almost my bigger concern -- if he starts publicly spouting off about that before he's even traded, he could become a major distraction for them during the season.

And the irony, and of course Ron never gets this stuff, but the irony is that the ONLY way ANY team is going to give him a long term megadeal is if shows up in Houston, plays the good soldier, and elevates them into serious contention. If he screws up, or worse yet, screws them up, there is simply no way. He'll be lucky if somebody chances the MLE on him and could end up out of the league ala J.R. Rider -- talent, but nobody wants the trouble anymore.
