Revelant college games on TV today:

bajaden

Hall of Famer
I thought I would list the games that include players that we might be interested in, in the coming draft.

Texas Tech/Kansas: Already in progress on ESPN2. Features Cole Aldrich and Xavior Henry.

Georgetown/Syracuse: Already in progress on ESPN. Features Greg Monroe of Georgetown, and Wesley Johnson and Arinze Onuaku of Syracuse.

Fresno St./Louisiana Tech: ESPNU at 2 PM Pacific. Features SF Paul George of Fresno St. and PF Magmun Rolle of Louisiana Tech.

North Carolina/Georgia Tech: ESPN2 at 4 PM Pacific. Possibly the last chance to see Derrick Favors of Georgia Tech, along with Gani Lawal. North Carolina has Ed Davis, but I think he's still out with an injury.

Tulsa/Marshall: CBSC at 4:30 Pacific. Might be the game of the day for bigs. Features 7 foot center Jerome Jordan of Tulsa, and 6'11"/7' center Hassan Whiteside of Marshall.

Texas/Baylor: ESPN2 at 6:30 Pacific. Another matchup of bigs. Features Ekpe Udoh, 6'11" C/PF from Baylor against 6'10" C Dexter Pittman of Texas. Game also features one of my favorite players 6'8" SF/PF Damion James.

Happy watching and enjoy..

Obviously you are getting into your seriously busy time of year. Hope you're well-stocked with cerveza. ;)

Plenty of cervesa, chips and salsa, four satellite dishes and three tv's with recorders. All set to go. I will save time for Boston Rob on surviver though. :D

I was thinking about opening up a surviver thread. That show got me back this year. It's been fantastic. Coach, Russell, Rupert, and Rob all on the same show!

Was watching the Gtown/Cuse game earlier and it looks like Arinze Onuaku messed up his right knee really bad. They are saying strain now but from the sound of the dude agonizing in pain for 5 mins it looks like something worse and he has already missed a yr due to a left knee injury.

Monroe looked good at the end but he cant really shoot free throws much, idk why but he still comes off to me like a left handed Spencer Hawes, I really hope we steer clear of him come draft time.

You are truly the king of college basketball.
Cervesa, chips, salsa. What, no limes? :)

Yeah, my wife who sort of fell off the Surviver wagon is back on board this year. Boston Rob has to be the best villan ever. He's the only guy I know that can steal your food, take the shirt off your back, get you to vote his way and then blindside stab you in the back, and you thank him for it.

The 7 assists from a big man, perhaps? I go back and forth with him--I'd much rather roll the dice on a defender like Whiteside, but if Petrie couldn't resist Monroe's skills I don't think it'd be the end of the world. Not much of a defender, but a much better rebounder than Spencer. I don't think you could get away with both of them in the frontcourt, though.

Yeah I'm more for getting a guy who you have to wait for his offense to come around if he has the tools and skills to already play like a force on the defensive end. I know its the system but I don't even know if Monroe knows what to do on the lowpost haha, he has GREAT court vision for a big man though.

To be fair to Monroe, he has improved his low post game quite a bit this year. I'm still not a big fan of his, but he could end up being a pretty good NBA player..

Ok for those that aren't tired of college basketball games here are some games I would recommend today..

Tulsa/UTEP: On CSBC at 1:PM Pacific. Tulsa won a chance to Play UTEP, my darkhorse school for the tournament, by beating Hassan Whiteside and Marshall. Tulsa has 7 footer Jerome Jordan at center. Who played one of his best games of the year yesterday.

Georgia Tech/Maryland: On ESPN2 at 4:PM Pacific. Another chance to see Derrick Favors of Georgia Tech. Favors was terrific yesterday. Georgia Tech should lose today. Maryland is a far better team than North Carolina. Tech's only chance at making the tournament is to win their conference tourney.

Georgetown/Marquette: On ESPN at 4:PM Pacific. Another look at Greg Monroe. Should be a tough game. Marquette is a good team.

North Carolina St./Florida St: On ESPN2 at 6:PM Pacific. A chance to Soloman Alabi, the 7 foot center.

Enjoy!...

GT needs to force feed Favors. If he had a decent backcourt, he'd be playing so much better.

The guard play for Georgia Tech is absolutely horrible. Which is why I was dissappointed when I heard Favors had chosen Tech. They keep recruiting good big men and never have a plan on how to use and develop them. Its just a terrible program, and If I were Georgia Tech I would fire the head coach and hire someone that can recruit a more evenly balanced team. And also be able to coach.

I feel bad for Favors, he's so talented and there's absolutely no reason he shouldn't be getting the ball. It's probably robbed him of some development too. Good thing he's probably coming out this year.

Ok, here are my choices for the day. Pick your poison..

Ohio St/Illnois: On CBS at 10:40 AM Pacific. Features Evan Turner of Ohio St. One of, if not the best player in college basketball.

Vanderbilt/Mississippi St: On ABC at 12 Noon Pacific. Features Andrew Oqilvy the 7 foot center from Vanderbilt. Miss. St. features Jarvis Varnado, the 6'9" PF that holds the NCAA record for blocked shots. This is an important game for Miss St. The only way they make the big dance is to win their conferece tourney.

North Carolina St/Georgia Tech: On ESPN at 12:30 PM Pacific. Features another chance to get a look at Derrick Favors and Gani Lawal of G. Tech, the school with nine lives.

Kansas St/Kansas: On ESPN at 3 PM Pacific. Features Cole Aldrich the 7 foot center and Xavior Henry the 6'6" SG/SF. I don't think Kansas St can beat Kansas but it should be a good game. State is a very good defensive team..

Georgetown/West Virginia: On ESPN at 6 PM Pacific. Georgetown features PF/C Greg Monroe. West Virginia features SG Devin Ebanks and SF Dasean Butler.

Enjoy....

If the Kings fall past 7 or so, he's a guy that could be very interesting. A lot of GMs will have doubts because they couldn't really see enough of his game. Petrie might be interested though...

That may be optimistic thinking. It's hard for me right now to imagine 6 guys going in front of Favors. Wall and Turner, sure. Cousins, sure. Johnson and Aminu, maybe. After that...possibly Whiteside on potential, or Motiejunas? Right now I think Favors is top-4, but that's just a guess.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. Of course it does depend on whose doing the picking. Once the order is set we can make better educated guesses.
