Reke's first triple double Congrats thread

Congratulations, Tyreke!! I was there at the arena and it was awesome to witness. Long may you reign as the King of Kings. :)

The over-the-backboard basket!

(And hoorah! to your team brothers who also played so well, especially Beno.)

Don't know if there's a clip out there. Here's how it went: 'Reke made a big hoop or maybe it was a big assist - can't remember since he was doing so much of both. For a split second as he ran back up the court camera caught him slightly raise right arm in a flex pose. He casually pointed with left finger at the bulge. It was all fleetingly fast, understated, in the moment - TOO COOL!

Darn, would have liked to see you all, especially get a live view of the little princesses. :D I got so into the game, I forgot to look around for anybody. I know there were quite a few in the vicinity, but some I wouldn't know in person, of course.

What a great night to be a Kings fan at Arco! (I could have wished for a few more filled seats, tho. )

Congrats Tyreke! He's just been amazing this year. I'm glad that I was lucky enough to see him get the tripple double in person. He's a special player and I'm glad he's here...and the best part, he likes being in Sac!

I've had a day to let that game sink in and all I can say is WOW. I think that will be the first of many many great moments by 'REKE here in Sacramento. The team certainly helped him on a rebound and a assist, but he generally earned the trip dub. It was done within the flow of the game which made it all that much more impressive!! I think the Raptors were pissed because the Kings starters were still in the game till the end of the game even up 23. The fans were heckling Bosh and Jack near the end of the game and they kinda lost their composure. That collapse by the Raptors in the third was an epic fail on their part coupled with a great defensive stand by the Kings.

Sean May did a fine job playing defense and even made a shot or 2 from the field. I REALLY like the way May has played the last few games and if he could get his stamina up I would love to see him get more time at center. He doesn't get pushed around and he plays good defense. He also will compete for rebounds and make an effort for blocks and he even had a steal last game. I think that with the defense May is playing we can not afford to NOT play him!

Although Tyreke has been impressive, I'm not ready to say he's the top 5 players....ever.

Everyone has a different Top 5 list, different order etc. If he can be in the conversation of some people for top 5 at the end of his career, then he's done us proud.

Guys like Roy, Rose... they were impressive as rookies and were runaway winners. But how do their rookie yrs compare to Reke's? What Reke is doing as a rookie is really up there with the all time greats. If he improves his jumpshot to good, then yes... he'll be one of the greatest of all time.

I'm a little late to this particular paty, but I'm very glad I was there to witness his first ever triple-double. Got the program, got the ticket stub, got the shirt, etc. Way to go, Reke! You set the bar pretty high, though. My granddaughters are going to be expect you to do that every time they go to a game with Grandma.

:)
