Section 101
All-Star
A couple thoughts:
* Do most other point guards display this ability? I should watch for outside the vision passes more often.
* Is part of passing outside of what is in front of you during half court offense a product of how well a team runs such an offense? Would you consider the Kings offense so polished that Thomas, Fredette or any other guard knows where people will be well enough to throw passes outside of their vision?
* I don't think Evans is a naturally gifted passer. So? He can improve at that skill, sure, and he may never be great, but does he have to be? What's the point of this line of discussion? If he "only" gets 5-6 assists per game from his driving ability and mediocre passing, why is that such a big deal?
Yes. IT does it consistantly, Jimmer has shown flashes, other PG's in the league do it consistantly.
Yes knowing where people are in the offense is part of running it especially for someone who's getting in the paint. But they still have to be able to make the correct pass to them.
It's only a big deal if he is running the offense full time. If IT or another future PG is running the offense it doesn't matter as much.
