thank you they won.... wow that is sad, that i am relieved that they beat the raptors by 2 points.... thanx bonzi, love the hard work.... we really need a better bench....

There is no way that game should have been that close, but I am very very happy for that win. Way to gut it out, Kings!

Was that like 42 minutes of blah and 6 minutes of alive? Felt like it. That was way too close. But it shows up as another game in the W column. TY Bonzi. :D

I'll take this! Obviously.

Shouldn't have been that close, like been said, but those last 6 minutes were basically real good.

Good to not let the Raps get much/anymore confidence. ;)

Embarrasing.

Well, I'm gonna look at it this way.

I think that Rick put in the bench for a few more minutes (cuz it's the Raptors, c'mon) to try and get them going, so it was basically our bench that really killed us.

Oh no... I must have missed something. I thought the Kings won, on a night when the Bulls beat the Spurs and Atlanta won their second in a row...

Darn. I must have nodded off. I could have SWORN the Kings won.

Where did I say the Kings lost?

The bench was the reason we didn't blow-out the Raptors.

Plain and simple and everyone knows it.

I guess we had different expectations.

From your "embarrassing" comment I was convinced the Kings must have lost...

Embarrassing? A W is a W. With a team that trying to develop a style a W is NEVER embarrassing.

Toronto barely lost their last game. They were hungry, they were coming into Arco on a mission. They may not have a good record, but they were putting out a lot of effort.

I'm sorry if I don't follow your train of thought, but I was VERY impressed to see the post games developing more and the designed play at the end of the game was huge. That is encouraging to me.

No, the bench didn't come in and play exceptional ball. Were you expecting them to? The point is they came in and held the fort until the calvary could arrive. The starters got the job done, which is what they're supposed to do.

I wasn't expecting or demanding a blow-out.

I was not expecting a blow-out either.

Maybe I should of congratulated the Kings on their win firsthand.

Embarrasing, that we beat the Raptors by 2 points, because of our bench.

I wasn't expecting a blow-out based on what I've seen of the Raps this season. Which is actually quite a bit because of their scorers, youngsters, and heart.

I was expecting a win though. :)

The Kings need to play the kind of defense they played those last 5 minutes for at least 36 minutes a game! Hey, at least they played the D when it was most crucial, right?

Another thing to ponder is we didn't have our leading scorer! Not that it means much anyway. Give credit to the Raps, they are not as bad as their record and have been close in most of their losses.

Bench needs help. Francisco!!!! Maybe when he returns to the bench he can help?

Could be. I was thinking that since his return and starting.

Still not sure about overall swingman depth though.

Got bigger issue than swingman depth right now.

Backup PG flat out sucks right now.
No backup C at all.
Backup PF rarely makes an impact.

Heck, we might have gotten more performances out of our admittedly weak backup swingmen than we have out of all the rest of the positions combined.

I pretty much said that in another thread. ;)

When I say swingman depth, I mean the whole season.

I happen to think that Jason is doing well. At least at what he was brought in to do: provide defense. He isn't a great jumpshooter, we already knew that. I do think we have a bench right now that Adelman has yet to figure out and may not. He is used to having a big time scorer coming off the bench and now he doesn't have that.

The bench either needs to find ways to find a system of their own, or maybe we do need to find a long range shooter, via trade or FA signing to at least keep the defense honest.

Amongst Hart, Martin, Corliss, Garcia, Kenny, and Skinner we have 1 player capable of stepping outside and hitting a 3.

I agree. I think they're still adjusting as individuals and with the team itself.

Hart, as time goes on though (in relation to above), I expect to do more on offense than so far. As it's known, his defense is quite nice.

Agreed.

I know one thing tonight really showed me how important Peja's presence on the floor is on offense. Bibby is the only other player in our starting group with 3 point range.

Are you serious about Hart? Bricklayer is right that Hart flat out sucks right now. He is a very large reason that the bench looks so out of sync. It is one thing when they are not hitting shots, but they don't look like they know how to play together. That largely falls to your floor general. Defense is great, and something our starters desparately need to play for more than 5 minutes per game. But, if Hart is only going to bring D, and nothing else, I am concerned about our second unit ever getting it together.
