The Warriors are annoying, the Lakers were scary.
The timelines of the teams in respect to the Kings is different too.

The Lakers and Kings were both pretty much in their primes concurrently with Kobe being younger than pretty much every single guy in the Kings core except for Peja.

The Warriors are a great team scratching and clawing to maintain their relevancy in a league that has finally caught up to the way they play basketball and the entire Kings roster is younger than their entire rotation aside from Kuminga and maybe Moody. The Kings are almost guaranteed to be better than the Warriors in two or three years simply due to Golden State's roster attrition. That was probably not to be the case against the Lakers had Kobe and Shaq not hated each other and Mitch Kupchak gotten back value for Shaq and kept Phil Jackson as their coach.

One other reason to shake this off? The Warriors shot 51% from 3 and we shot 30. Take away that lucky banked three or make the correct call on the out of bounds we win this with those percentages. Sure GS turned it over a bunch but they always do

Would it kill us to try Sabonis at the 4, btw? Would that totally not work with JaVale for a stretch? Domantas desperately needs help on that backline at this point, because even in the highlights alone, im seeing multiple backdoor cuts that lead to uncontested layups/dunks. He's not even putting his hands up at times and i get that he's likely avoiding foul trouble or injury but we can't keep these bad habits going, preseason or not. I love the guy and want him to retire here but that one thing alone has the potential to bite us in the butt again in critical situations this season.

I would like to know the reasoning why Javale gets the first nod over Len, if we're absolutely set on a traditional back-up 5. Does Len's end of the year not count for anything?
I think that respect will be there when the time comes. In preseason, why not test out what JaVale's really got? Alex Len - we pretty much know what we'll get with him right now. I admire his consistency but he ain't great enough to not give someone else a shot in his place for a spell.

Really feels like we unlocked something here. Take him out of the ball-handler slot, just fully give the ball-handling/playmaking duties to Domas and put Davion in attack mode.
i love this so much. I honestly didn't even think about that as an option, as simple as it sounds, but this also means that Davion has clearly shown Mike Brown that he can put the ball in the bucket with some consistency right now.

These Warriors broadcasters are the worst. I know others have said it, but it needs to be repeated.
I agreed that the Warriors broadcasters are terrribleee and I am a Kings and Warriors fan. Why they're worst? Because they went on a long stretch...literally like 2 or 3 minutes talk about other craps like family or unrelated basketball matter while the basketball is going on...it's like are they even follow the game anymore.....so freaking annoying.

Brown inserted him in crunch time replacing pathetic Huerter shows how much his game is already better than Huerter. Brown is BIG on guys who can defend and I expect Duarte to replace Huerter in the opening game of the regular season. To be honest, as a fan watching the game, I always feel vulnerable every time Huerter is in the game. The team have to work so hard to defend because of things like allowing penetration and failing to guard one on one.

It's disappointing that we don't have anyone on the floor that's a threat other than Fox at crunch time. Fox can't win going 1-on-5 always. Even in earlier possessions, the players were playing "hot potato" with the ball before it got to Fox.

Mike Brown wasting that challenge and losing a timeout meant we can't advance the ball.

Props to Steph, he did what superstars are supposed to do.
Monk will definitely have something to say about this, especially when the games actually matter and count.

I definitely don’t care about this loss though. I prefer winning no matter what the game is, including summer league, but it’s whatever. I’m sure if we won this meaningless game, folks would have said we were trying too hard and it’s not that serious lol

The Warriors had the lead for a total of 51 seconds in this game.

Curry had to score 13 points in the last two minutes, including a three he missed so badly he banked it trying to draw a kickout foul, and the Warriors got an extra possession when Curry touched the ball while out of bounds and apparently none of the cameras could see it, just so the Warriors could win by 1.

And they blew all their luck on a game that doesn't count in the standings. Fine by me. Just glad I don't ever have to listen to that Warriors announcing team again.
