We have no indication whether he offered a contract or not. My assumption is Giles left because he felt slighted by the organization and wanted to bet on himself with a new team. That's far more likely than assuming we didn't offer more than the min for Giles.
Yeah honestly if Giles showed more awareness defensively, his playmaking skill would have been enough for McNair to consider keeping him IMO.This is my read, he's going to build a defensive minded team at least far more defensive minded than we've seen in ages.
But will he tell us about how klay once dropped 37 on us in a quarter?MARK JONES SAID THE TWO FOR ONE THING!
If I'm going to be the 3rd center on a minimum contract, I'd rather do that in Portland than Sacramento.
Fox, Ty, Buddy could be fire!Interesting seeing Buddy play the SF some, wonder what new things we'll see this year.

It's not about bitterness. But besides his love for the city, what is the incentive for him to come back after he gets good somewhere else?
That answers the question (that doesn't appear to have been asked) of why Giles wouldn't hold a grudge against the Kings. But why would he want to go back?did you ever sense any sort of bitterness with him? Harry is smart enough to know this is a business and not personal
If Fox and Haliburton make up for Buddy's lapses we're golden at those three spots.Fox, Ty, Buddy could be fire!
Yeah not saying I disagree with you but it’s hilarious watching a portion of the fan base that advocated for a Sixers style teardown freak out over the first half of the first preseason game of the year. They never would have made it through a full tank. This Kings fan: "You have the tools and this is what you do with them?"

Kings down a “manageable” deficit is the new “Kings should probably feel fortunate they are only losing by X amount of points”
“Respectable” is the new “Gallant effort”
Imagine the lengthy Ty getting a sneaking rebound and start a fastbreak run where you get Fox's pacing down like a motorcycle and Buddy spotting up in the corner...If Fox and Haliburton make up for Buddy's lapses we're golden at those three spots.
It does answer the question or why he’d go back. Why wouldn’t he? The GM that declined his option is gone. The teammates that he still loves playing with are still here. The coach they gave him some good run last year is still here. There is ample opportunity to get more playing time and shine here than Portland. That answers the question (that doesn't appear to have been asked) of why Giles wouldn't hold a grudge against the Kings. Not only that but all of Gentry’s five out stuff looked really effective only for Luke to keep having his bigs set up at the elbows like we’re the 1995 Magic or something.Common sense is literally smacking Luke right in his forehead. Gee, Barnes at PF and you don't suck? C'mon Monte, you're the stats guy, look at those 5 man stats pal.

Not if you are Harry. I believe he really loved the team, the city, and the fans.
I don't think that any of that has as much appeal to the average NBA player as many Kings fans appear to think it does.It does answer the question or why he’d go back. Why wouldn’t he? Gotta say, I'm liking the defense and rebounding tonight. This has been the exception rather than the rule for much of the last 20 years, but the effort has been there tonight.
So you’re telling me Bam doesn’t want to leave Miami for the chance to play with the guy he played with in college for five months?I don't think that any of that has as much appeal to the average NBA player as many Kings fans appear to think it does.
Perfect role for Luke to wrap up his final year as the head coach of Sacramento Kings, if you ask me.Walton is going to be the tank commander with this starting frontline of Holmes, Bjelica and Barnes.
