Pre Season on Comcast?

I swear I remeber the preseason games being on TV last year. I don't see them listed as of yet on comcast. Can anybody shed some light on the subject?

If I remember correctly, they wern't going to televise any games last year, but relented and did televise the last two. Going on memory here, which is dangerous with me. As far as this year is concerned, I read somewhere that they wern't going to televise any of the pre-season games. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't think so. There's always the option of trying to watch them on line if the other team is broadcasting their game.

I have Comcast and here's what I recall and anticipate. Last year they did not broadcast any pre-season games at all. The reason was said to be budget issues - yeah right - since they gouge my budget constantly with rate hikes! I have not heard if this years Kings pre-season games are back on schedule for broadcast as was standard up until last seaon. That's all I know and my memory is not perfect as well on this one. One other note. I don't mind not seeing preseason action all that much since it's great to listen to an entire radio call by old pro G-Man and his peeps once in awhile - and they always audio streaming at KHTK.com.

So if these games aren't televised, there won't be any live streaming? Delayed 'streaming'?

If you mean live streaming like Summer League games - the answer is no. Delayed, no as well if judging by last season. The only "access" would appear to be go to the games or listen live on radio.

There is one more option, if your lucky. If the other team is broadcasting the game you might luck out and get their feed on one of the comcast or fox sports stations. I did last year. One other option might be that one of the games will be boadcast on NBA TV.

Another option could be going to ESPN.com and watching the gamecast, it's not much but that's what I did last year since they weren't showing the preseason games.

Preseason Games will not be broadcasted. "All 82 regular season games will be televised, but preseason games will not be aired." from the kings twitter

As an aside, I remember last year well -- it was the first year in several where they did not televise the preseason games, and I think it was directly related to the massive economic crunch. Kind of stupid if you ask me in that it dampened any enthusiasm through training camp and kept fans in the dark about the emerging team. Would have to say the same thing about the decision this year -- stick a video camera in the rafters if that's all you can afford. But maybe its an advertisers problem.

Anyway, the Lakers game at least should be televised by Lakers TV, so you might be able to catch that one through their feed.

That's really poor. I've been looking forward to watching these pre-season games for months. Now I'll have to wait another month. It can't cost that much to set up a camera crew!

Supposedly only a handful of teams leauge wide will be broadcasting preseason games, so there are a lot of fans in the same boat-not that it helps :)

how about on espn 3 they have hella games there thats were i wacth all the summer legua games

haha my fault for the spelling haha

i just moved back to northern cal and have Comcast again. There is literally nothing entertaining on 92% of the time why wouldn't they televise a preseason game? How much does it really cost them?

Yeah. If nothing else, like Brick said just put up a camera to catch the entire court and let it go. Don't even need anyone to man it! I'd be fine with that in preseason if the alternative is no games at all......

I was hoping that we'd be able to watch the games on TV this year. Disappointing..Is anybody going to the pre-season games?
