Probably picks and a young player… Carter would fit in well with Kon/Miller I’d easily offer Carter and up to three firsts for him match salaries with monk and Derozan. We would and should recoup at least two firsts for him round picks in a Sabonis trade

If we did Sabonis trade first maybe when you can set "least favorable" status on those picks but I really don't want to go anywhere near a Ball kid.

Also he seemed to push back on trade talk so if he's happy in Charlotte please let him stay there.

Melo is LEGIT, I mean, relative to Ball level. But the Kings can't do everything else to build a contender unfortunately. Not now at least. Stay away.

If you think he’s legit why wouldn’t we be able to build a contender or atleast a perennial playoff team. We’d have Melo, Keegan, Keon, Nique, a top 8 pick and whatever assists from a Sabonis trade

Hmm on Realgm is sounded like Charlotte already has their young players and want more established players that can help with changing the culture in Charlotte. Maybe Sabonis, Carter and a 1st. Not sure if Sabonis and Kalk can play together tho.

Kalk could always come off the bench and they play together for a little bit he wouldn’t fit in the starting lineup

No on Melo, even if he's "free". He's flashy, but I'm not really sure how he fits into us heading into a proper rebuild.

I'd rather go get someone like Scoot+Grant+picks

Because we've seen this team make these kind of moves for big money right off the bat and it always seems to stagnate at some point. And that was usually on teams that utilized their assets far better than this one has. There is so little value with how personnel has been paid to win now and with the youth getting squeezed that it can't make up for the lack of cap flexibility. They'd be under the gun from the first moment not knowing how the pieces fit together.

I think around the league the perception is Melo is not a winning player, which was what some talking heads were saying as well. They think he’s more interested in entertain,ent and himself with winning taking a backseat

Deebo is such an easy player to root for. Great dude and straight bucket. Would be really cool to see him land on a team with a real shot.

So uhh, last year we saw lineups of monk-ellis-derozan-keegan have a lot of success. We saw that again tonight with russ in place of Keon.

If we trade derozan that means lavine is taking his shots, surely leading to more losses.

Side note: always liked precious. I remember seeing him in person roast the Kings for 19 when he was on the raps. Hes only 26, am I the only one that would like him to re-up for a cheap 2 year deal during the rebuild? He gives effort and does the dirty work.

He’s a good rotation piece off the bench for sure. Not every guy can be an iso guy who demands the ball

I think the fix to this is to send Vuc to GS for Kuminga.
GS desperately needs a Center, Kuminga won't suit up for them anymore. They make similar dollar amount.
The rest of the filler they can send whatever they want. Zach Collins works as well. But I do think asking 3 1sts + essengue is kings pipedream. I'd be thrilled to get any 2 of those 4.

Did GMs really learn nothing from the Beal saga with these no trade clauses? lol

It barely works financially but if they also included the Brooklyn swap for next season, I might be tempted to take the deal. Still think there’s a better return on that particular package out there for the Kings if they shopped it than a guy who just blew out his leg and is on the books for 24 mil next year and a pick.
