Potential Free Agent/Trade/Sign Tracker, '25-'26 Season

I think the Kings are going to be in a great position to be at the top of the sellers market once trade season heats up. If we look at the bottom of the league:

Wizards: Khris and CJ
Nets: Clax, MPJ?, Cam Thomas
Pacers: Would they really sell? I'd figure they'd want to hold most of their core together for next season when Hali comes back. Maybe TJM, but I don't think they'd make Pascal, Nembhard, NeSmith or any of those guys available when they'll obviously want to be good immediately when Hali is healthy
Mavs: Same kind of deal as Pacers. You're a team with a hurt Kyrie/AD, have Klay Thompson. Already lucked into the big rookie in Flagg. Maybe guys like Gafford/Naji.
Pelicans: Don't control their pick and they'd have to be all-in on a reset. Like trading Murphy/Zion/Herb Jones.
LAC: Not going to happen on a team with Kawhi/Harden

And the Kings weirdly have a bunch of pieces that most contenders look for to boost their playoff run; scoring and shot creation.

I think there’s a potential Schroder to Mavs or Wolves deal that could be made. Those teams badly need a PG and Schroder won’t cost much.

Schroeder or Russ would help Minnesota the problem would be matching salaries for Schroeder unless there willing to trade Conley who is a leader there

Exactly. He’s the only guy they can move if they don’t want to touch their core. Schroder is a clear upgrade and won’t cost them much.

Not sure why the hell the Grizzlies are suddenly hellbent on winning now but if they want to send us Jaylen Wells and salary to rent Deebo for a year, who am I to say no?spotrac-nba-trade-machine-1764366488893.png

Did GMs really learn nothing from the Beal saga with these no trade clauses? lol

It barely works financially but if they also included the Brooklyn swap for next season, I might be tempted to take the deal. Still think there’s a better return on that particular package out there for the Kings if they shopped it than a guy who just blew out his leg and is on the books for 24 mil next year and a pick.
I have to imagine it’s an implied no trade because he is on a two year deal with a team that has full Bird rights?

It's funny that if a team knows what they are doing DeMar could probably help a contender immediately more than any other player on the Kings. Teams really underrate someone like that who can basically keep a teams bench even because they can score at will. Same with Cuz. Never understood why a team didn't just ride him as a go to off the bench for 5 minute stretches.

Random internet accounts gonna actually get momentum going for this?

I mean it is one of those obvious ideas. Kerr loves screeners/facilitators more than anything and Domas would be perfect for them. Better have 3 firsts coming back though. Kuminga isn't pushing the Kings anywhere but Domas might push them up to the top of the West.

Most good teams don't want an unprofessional cancer in their organization

I think a lot of that was more about the sins of past. He floated around enough and nothing too major resulted. Still, obviously no team has that issue with DeMar and he's a walking bucket. The knock on both was everything else which is true. Both are major hurdles for teams defensively but again, just keep the bench even and a team is usually good if the starters aren't getting butt punched like the Kings starters do.

The team I'll be watching are the Hornets. They have tons of movable salaries and some nice sized and movable enders. They'd be stupid to shoot for space because they'll come up empty or overpay for role guys like the Kings do. They'd have to be on the short list for Domas suitors. The best way for them to take a talent stab is via trade and they have the pieces now. They could build a nice little trio with Ball and Miller.

I think most Kings fans are over valuing the vet pieces we have. Westbrook has been the best one and nobody even wanted to sign him for a vet minimum except us. Don’t expect much back guys.

I’m not so sure that’s true. Westbrook supposedly wanted to stay close to LA. If that’s true that cuts out out most of the league.

Yes let's trade a good 3 and D player on a cheap contract in Wells for Derozan who is a 37 year old ball hog with zero defense or intangibles. Unless the Kings are sending a 1st and or Clifford they don't even look at it.

For me the most obvious and gettable (start of next off season) target is Payton Watson, there is no way the Nuggets can afford him based on his potential and numbers when he gets extended minutes (also there payroll). He's the best shot blocking wing in the NBA , a elite athlete in the truest sense and fits way better than Kuminga (target this year) and plays hard he's kind of a throw back to Charlotte Gerald Wallace (when he gets a chance cause of Gordon or Braun being hurt).

If the plan is not to pay Ellis or play Carter I'd do a Watson/Holmes for Keon/Carter any day of the week or just Watson for Ellis straight up but I doubt Denver does it based on Ellis play this year. Maybe the plan might be to try win this year with Cam Johnson and move him if it does not work out and pay Watson.

You move Braun before Cam … Jokic got that man paid and it hasn’t looked pretty. If I’m Denver I don’t entertain watson for ellis at all Ellis can’t defend sga, lebron, or Luka and Watson has the size to atleast guard them

I agree which is why I said most likely next offsesson , I would not move Watson at all I think if they knew he could be this as a starter they would have never moved for Cam. Braun has been very good since becoming a starter as well in particular last season where he was 15ppg on 58% from the field and 40% from 3(above average defense and crazy energy).these are as elite as you can get numbers from a role player he's had a rough start from 3 this season but I would kill to get a Braun on the Kings as the SG I would not move either I'm keeping the 24 year old over Cam Johnson.

Boston should trade for Deebo. They are better than expected and could still get Tatum back before the end of the year. Imagine being Detroit, getting the number one seed and then having to play Tatum, Brown, Deebo and White in the first round.

They should trade for DD being better then everyone thought however I doubt Steven’s is dumb enough to let Tatum play this year

I guess it depends. If he is cleared medically and how early that happens. For example if they clear him January 15th, they would have several months to ramp up. Having said that, if it increases risk of injury it would be a bad move.

I agree, but at the same time view addition by subtraction with this roster. I'd move guys that aren't seen as a key to the team going forward and let the youth play. Like others have indicated - the youth may still lose, but at least they're fun to watch.

If the Bucks don’t get it together will they trade Giannis? I was wondering if Detroit would take a shot? They could get Duren, Holland, Ivey and 4 picks or something?

Miami: Herro, Ware, Jackucionis, and picks

SAS: Castle, Vassell, Johnson , Bryant, and picks

Just depends where I chose I think and was rumored he wanted to stay out east I can’t see him dating no to playing with Wemby though
