Possibility? Hinrich & 17th from Bulls?

What's funny is that both of those teams have completely screwed over the Knicks who gutted their team and draft pick future to have cap space for two max guys. Well the Heat will have room for three max guys, and the Bulls will have room for two +Rose and Noah.

Even the Nets are candidates to get in the mix if they can deal off Harris...then they'd have room for two max guys with a lotto pick and Lopez.

Other than the draw of MSG there's no rational reason why any of the top guys would go there.

ouch, good points. NYK might end up like detroit last season w/ the brides maids and not the bride lol

Brick - I think the goal is Rose, LBJ, Deng, Bosh, and Noah ... but they would live with Amare.

The Bulls and the Heat have gone to war, I wouldn't rule out a Beasly dump today either.

Bosh has made it clear he needs to be "the man". That he is only good enoguh to be "the man" on a 45win team has apparently not occurred to him yet.

With Evans' ability to defend the 2 he wouldn't have to guard the 2s.

And give up the physical advantage that he has on both ends of the floor when he's on the other team's PG? Make him run the team on offense and guard likely the best and most active player on the other team every night? No thanks.

We all know he has the ability to, but it's far from a necessary use of his talents. I can't imagine how gassed he would be by the end of the year. We need a full sized shooting guard next to Reke so that the other team has no choice but to keep their PG on him the entire game. On both ends.

I think that might be a little bit of gamesmanship that he doesn't want to be viewed in this market as LeBron and Wade's little tagalong.

The Bulls are also talking to the Clips about taking Deng because the Clips need a 3 and have the cap space. If I were the Clips I would rather have Deng at 4/51M, then Rudy Gay at something like 5/60M.

Then the Bulls would have space to take a run at LeBron, Bosh and someone like Ray Allen.

Why are you guys excited over Hinrich?

Don't get me wrong, I'd LIKE it, but you gotta look at it this way...

We still have Beno's OVERPAID MLE contract....4 years and prob 28 mil. left....

Adding Hinrich's contract would be stupid....We'd have 2 high priced guards.

Either dump Beno or include him in the trade, or re-structure someone's deal.

I honestly don't think Beno is overpaid for what he provided last year. He's still relatively young and I see him getting better next year. On a contending team, he's deadly with that little pull up. Great free throw shooter. Clutch. And you don't worry about dumb mistakes. I'd say he's a key piece for us going forward, and what you'd expect to pay for that piece.

I disagree with most of this.

Beno played up to if not better than his contract last season.

I wouldn't say people are excited over Kirk. The exciting part of this deal is the 17th pick. Kirk is just a salary dump from the Bulls perspective. The icing on the cake is that Hinrich can actually fill a need for us while most salary dump players are garbage.

A 2 yr deal is perfect. If we sign someone with our cap room this offseason, I'm sure the deal would have to be a lot longer than two years, and we don't want that.

I would be super excited if Henry was available at 17.

Sam Amick's twitter:

A league source tells FanHouse the Kings have no interest in the Hinrich/No. 17 deal, and that it's likely Chicago smokescreen 4 leverage.

Kirk would work well with Tyreke. Tyreke + Kirk/Beno/Cisco is enough passing balance and shooting ability to make it work for now. You could also maybe grab a Ebanks, Henry or George if they drop with that pick.

"Just spoke to Bouna Seraphin's agent Bouna Ndiaye. He's ecstatic. "Washington was our first choice." Seraphin's buyout is 500k."

Sounds like Seraphin was Washington's pick, pretty much a done deal that just needs time.

Bulls 2.2 million cap space away from 2 max contracts.
