I would feel pretty comfortable with Monte in the top 3 vs whoever we end up with after Vivek fires him in the next week or so.

99.5% chance it's a moot point though haha

You think he would have let Monte take sole ownership of that pick decision? I sure as hell don't

the question is how soon will we know? If we lose tonight are we hearing about the firing?

It’s not his fault no one was there to cover for him when he got eaten up by a screen. Not sure if it was Doug’s coverages or laziness by teammates a simple screen freed him up so easy.

Thoughtlessness and laziness for sure. DC putting Carter back in was a wise move. He has a very rare ability to get over a lot of screens that most players can't. DC not putting Keon and Carter in there together was a mistake. We'll see if Christies trust in his starters pays dividends or already cost them the game.

He's winning or losing with the highest paid players. Count on it

Kind of giving me that fox feeling right before he got traded. Dude checked out a long time before.
We could be royally ****ed with Domas. $140M over the next three years just may be the new toxic contract (yay we now how collected two with Zach). He was worth it as the central offensive hub of the Beam Team, but he now looks lost. I’m not sure Domas is attractive at that price tag to many teams in the NBA. Not sure if it’s a bad enough contract where you have to attach things to get off it, but I don’t think he yields much of a haul at all.

I'm sure there will be baseless rumors on the Twitters as soon as tonight. Those vultures stay circling haha

This is gonna be an interesting summer either way. I'm probably just gonna take the SLAB approach and hope for max chaos, since this team certainly isn't going to entertain us with competency

Going under screens has been Keon’s MO for most of the season though. He does it to try to bait guys into throwing the ball into a lane he can get his hands on but when the ball gets to his guy it leaves him wideass open

Which is a good thing he's at least learned that. Part of it is he can't absorb contact very well. Whether by screen or in iso. If you play at an angle like he does and brace with your back foot you are giving wide open space around you. Players that can sit in the classic defensive position have the option of quickly changing angles.

When that ball bounced in on Klay’s shot you knew he was about to go on one. As if a weight had been lifted off him.
What I imagine has to be infuriating for team-first fans is being a footnote in someone else's story. Presuming that Dallas holds on to win this, NBA historians will either remember this as the Klay Redemption Game™ or the Nico Validation Game™.
