Peja could've had a 40 pt game with 20 rebounds and some people would still find fault with him and that would take up the whole thread.
You know what? That is simply NOT FAIR.
People around here had great fun criticizing Webber for every single thing he said, did, thought, was accused of doing, etc. ON AND OFF the court. Some of us found it unfair and said so, although we did try and be focused on the difference between what happened on the court AND the mistakes he made, and yes he made some, off the court.
Well, that's over because Webber is GONE. Now, the hopes of this franchise are on Peja's shoulders. It is NOT wrong to comment on areas he needs to improve in any more than it was wrong to comment about the games when Webber took too many shots, etc. That's part and parcel of being a fan.
Peja HAS to improve his rebounding if he's going to be who we desperately need him to be. Look at the rebounding figures for ALL the other SF in the league. Some people around here are still pretty emotional about the direction our team is taking, the way things were done, etc. I think for the most part they've been pretty civil with each other and that's a tribute to all of us, whether we were Webber fans, Webber haters, Peja fanatics, Kings homers, etc.
We need to get back to the matter at hand. Every person on the team is fair game for legitimate criticisms. That's what this board has been about for a long time and that's how it's going to stay.
