Bricklayer - While I immediately thought you'd lost your mind I now have to wonder if that could just be one of the most diabolical trades ever in the NBA.

Kobe and Pedja on the same team? If Pedja is unhappy about getting fewer shots now, he would be curled up under the bench in the fetal position after a few games with Bryant.

If Petrie could pull this little miracle off, I would start collecting for the 500-foot statue of him to be erected outside Arco! And I would make regular pilgrimages to the site to lay bouquets of flowers at its base.

As far as backup center goes, we haven't played Tag much anyway. We do have Bradley; he and Darius could at least pick up a little slack, even if they were basically playing out of position.

Having said all that, a major part of me still hopes Pedja stays.

At least in LA he would be the #2 option instead of the #3 or 4 depending on the night.

It's obvious to me Vlade 21 that the dude doesn't want to play here and he isn't trying hard enough. you can run on and on about how close your contacts are and how you know this person or that person that goes to the games and now you are saying that Television is decieving my mind because what I see is just an illusion and my thoughts betray me for some reason that you know and all knowing.From what I see from my experience with the game of basketball I am putting myself in the dudes shoes as an athlete.First of all he's not giving 110% you can blame it on his back and the little flu all you want but from what I see from doing tape review of the games and watching them I see him open and the ball is not delivered to him and then the next few plays or two you don't see him even try to get a defensive rebound because he was over looked on the last few offensive possesions the previous trip down.It's obvious players of the past and present display this attitude of you don't pass me the ball I am wide open, I was second leading scorer last season, I was all NBA second TEAM I was 2nd in MVP voting I won 2 consecutive NBA 3 point contests I am a 3 time NBA all star,My country won a world championship against the NBA with ME on the TEAM.WHY THEN AM i STANDING AROUND WIDE OPEN and no one is giving me the BASKETBALL.These professional players ALL have ego's and I know these thoughts are running through his mind because he defenitely is not EGO less.Shaq used to come out and say that if you don't pass me the ball then I won't rebound and I will not protect the basket ,Some players just are not a straight up vocal like he is out front and they convey their feelings in another manner.

A player like peja operates at his best with responsibilty,If he knows how many shots he's going to get every game then he's all good cool.Peja doesn't distribute the rock all great and He is a learning rebounder that took a step forward last season and a step back this season from the boards.But what he is is a scorer he has a pure scorers mentality you can talk about the off the dribble stuff about him not being able to create his shot,But at the end of the day he is a scorer and scorers you must feed or they will loose interest in the other little things that maybe count but they feel with their mentality to score is not important and secondary in their minds.

What happen was webb coming back to prove a point and by proving that point he had to take away from everyone else especially peja,He did this to prove he could be at an all star level again,Now that he was snubbed he has relaxed his game and his play level has dropped as a result.Peja struggled through this by his scoring responsibilty being put on the back burner.While peja may be laughing giggling along on the bench masking his discontent and feelings of wanting to be some where else. It's obvious with his play his lack preparation for the season his mind telling his body to rest and not be strong my intuition tells me from watching these things observing his game tha he doesn't want to be playing for the kings.

The only way things will turn around is if we can get a small forward who is dedicated to defense and rebounding. Although I like cat mobley, we should of shipped peja at the beginning of the year and had both christie and artest as our defensive starters. Well thats water under the bridge. Whatever we do, as long as we continue to run this type of offense where our big men are at the elbows and everyone else with size hovers near the arc, we will never improve offensive rebounding. As far as defensive rebounding goes, webber is no longer athletic enough post injury and brad miller doesnt see to want to commit to rebounding. Defense overall continues to break down coz our guards let everyone drive and our big men never check anyone coming down the lane. The best thing to do is trade peja for anything of value, commit to defense from the guards up, or else the season is lost. Frustrating to be so close a few years ago and still have a chance if Defense was our focus. A lot of the blame has to go to the type of offense we run, our players are not in position to play solid D, and the players required to run this offense will always be score first. Maybe a change at head coach with a new system needs to be tried out. This may sound crazy, but maybe a guy like Phil Jackson can take this core of talent (mobley, webber, peja, bibby, and miller) implement a new system (the triangle) and see what happens. Whats to lose?

1. maybe he isn't given 110% because it is not in his nature.Well I think right now his nature is telling himself that he shouldn't give 110% in a situation that is not in what he wants his basketball future to be.It is common for a disgruntled player to perform at a subpar level if that player has no desire to be in that particular uniform.Vince catert just recently came out and said he wasn't given 110 % before his trade to the NETS.

I am going to go ahead and speak for him. my Basketball instincts tell me that he doesn't feel comfortable with his role on the TEAM, you can use race color and other means to say that what I am seeing is all illusion,but i have been away from home before sorrounded by people that didn't speak my language and yes I understand his situation and been in his shoes to know that type of feeling.But I think my basketball intuition is serving my feelings right about this matter.

4.You can go to all the KINGS games all you want my BASKETBALL feeling tells me that he wants more responsibilty given to him as a scorer.

5. I didn't say these two were at ODDS with one another, like I said maybe OFF the court they giggle and joke and shoot the stuff.But on the court from what I see it's an obvious power struggle going on.

6.Your talking about staged DRAMA versus real life everday people doing what they do everyday in real life situations real life no script DRAMA.Which is different from staged PROP rehearsals.REAL PEOPLE REAL LIFE things are shaped quite different.

Just curious .....

It is truly sad that "Peja has to go" theory has reached such epodemic porportions. I am not a homer of any of our players, but this is getting really ridiculous. There's 4 or more threads to the honor of "Trade Peja".

My question is this: If Peja is NOT traded, will he/Kings players/fans be okay with that?

Just wanted to stop and consider that for a moment...Thursday at 3:00 (72 hours, 10 minutes) gets here and Peja stays. Will he fight thru it? Will he be professional and take it in the chin, hoping for a deal in the off season?

How can his current stats be hurting us, he's the second best scorer on our team! At his pay of around 8.1 mil avg. for this year and next, he's a bargain if nothing else. He is not hurting us on on the floor, and his man to man defense is definitely missed when he's off the floor. His presence on another team, especially a contender and/or a rival would be HUGE! Kinda makes me wonder....if he were simply benched for his lack of heart could he still be a commodity?

If Peja isn't traded all this energy will turn into negative force for fans. Peja is NEVER gonna get the same respect from his fans if he stays, which may serve to hamper his playing even moreso. ARGH!!!

Sometime ago there was a thread "What would Kings players think if they logged in here?", or something to that effect. Hate to think about that now.

1. maybe he isn't given 110% because it is not in his nature.Well I think right now his nature is telling himself that he shouldn't give 110% in a situation that is not in what he wants his basketball future to be.It is common for a disgruntled player to perform at a subpar level if that player has no desire to be in that particular uniform.Vince catert just recently came out and said he wasn't given 110 % before his trade to the NETS. He can't give 110% anyway. You're saying he's disgruntled and so he's performing sub par? You're comparing Vince Carter to Pedja? What's next? Tracy McGrady? Those two situations were ENTIRELY different.

I am going to go ahead and speak for him. my Basketball instincts tell me that he doesn't feel comfortable with his role on the TEAM, you can use race color and other means to say that what I am seeing is all illusion,but i have been away from home before sorrounded by people that didn't speak my language and yes I understand his situation and been in his shoes to know that type of feeling.But I think my basketball intuition is serving my feelings right about this matter. You don't have the RIGHT to speak for Pedja. You're not his friend, his family, his agent, his mother, etc. Your basketball instincts, whatever that means, are irrelevant. Unless you were an NBA player from a foreign country and a STAR at that, you have nothing in common with Pedja. You're just a fan like the rest of us. I know that's tough for you to swallow, but that's just the way it is.

Whoa. I'm suitably impressed. What do you do? Just depend on the voices in your head? Are they what tells you he wants out? IF - and that's a pretty big IF - you had actually been to some games, you might have a better basis in fact for some of your statements. The fact you haven't speaks volumes.

Again, you aren't seeing the whole thing. You may see a power struggle because it's obvious that you so desparately WANT to see a power struggle. You've contradicted yourself a number of times in this regard. You can't have both ways. Either Pedja is attempting to stand up for himself (hence the power struggle) or he's defeated and gived up (no power struggle). Well, since you've frequently indicated he's NOT standing up for himself, not happy, not assertive, etc. he can't possibly be conducting a power struggle.

Um, what? Pedja is NOT duplicitous. It's simply not a part of his nature. Is he totally happy right now? Nope. You can spot it every time you see him - if you ever saw him, that is. But is it because he's unhappy with the team OR is it because he hasn't played well, his back is still problematic, it's been reported he's having family difficulties, etc. Are those all true? Don't know. Are they possible? Every bit as possible as your scenarios.
