Pargo signs with Hornets

Free agent point guard Jannero Pargo agreed to a two-year, $2.1 million deal with the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, told ESPN.com.

Bartelstein said that Pargo has a player option for the second year of the contract.
Pargo spent last season with the Chicago Bulls. He averaged 4.8 points and 1.6 assists in 11.3 minutes per game.
He'll provide insurance for the Hornets starting point guard Chris Paul and recently signed backup Bobby Jackson at the point.

Nice little signing by Hornets. Get a solid third stringer that can handle and shoot well. Insurance if B-Jax gets hurt as well.

Thats a really good signing. Hornets are going to be an interesting team to watch next year.

I don't see them storming the western conference, but they'll be in the playoff picture for sure. Likely make it as a lowish seed.

Definite 6-8 seed, IMO. Depends on how far along Paul comes as a difference maker and a guy that can carry a team. Because we all know Peja can't.
