Paradigm Shift

I think I am seeing a change in the player's attitude on the court. For years the King's used their offense to spark their play on defense. I'm starting to see a shift towards defense sparking their offense. If I were given a choice between the two, I would choose the latter. I think defense is more dependable and I hope this trend continues.

I think we're seeing a true blend of offense and defense. And I think we're seeing a team in the midst of learning to TRUST each other. That is, IMHO, the one thing that was so wonderful about the Kings of 2001-2003. They knew each other and they trusted each other.

Our team has, with a good deal of credit going towards Artest, suddenly started to talk to each other, to cheer each other on, to depend on each other, etc.

The cacophony that marked the beginning of the season is being replaced by a symphony. Yes, the orchestra needs to continue to practice but the melody is definitely starting to take shape.

It's truly majestic.

Lord, I love this team!!!

Is it just me or is EVERY Kings player poking the ball out of every player that tries to post-up on them?

Yeah... So I pretty much love it.

im just glad that they could maintain their huge lead..... i hated when they'd be up early only to lose the lead by the end of the game....

Its called DEFENSE. Something that is fairly new to Kings fans. :)

The team looks like its having fun again, which is something I haven't seen in a long time. That's one of the biggest reasons I'm against any further major moves at the present time. If we could bring Mateen in to waive the towels around the bench though, that would be ok.

Well, the reality is that we still have major rebounding issues. The Bulls got nearly 30 more shots than us tonight! That will eventually get us burned. Good thing our defense has been good, and Chicago couldn't throw the ball in the ocean.

It's a beautiful thing!:)

Nice to see a lot more hustle than earlier in the season. Hope we can maintain that down the stretch. The road games will be the telling factor. We have to close out games on the road.

A couple of points. Of course they got more shots. They pretty much just crossed the line and jacked up everything but the kitchen sink. They have no inside game so they just use the shotgun theory.

The reality is that for the first time in a VERY long time people are excited about the Kings again.

We know we still have a lot of issues, but the team dynamic has shifted and it's as though the storm clouds are beginning to clear.

I don't think there's a Kings fan here who isn't fully aware that they have a lot of work still to do, but at least now there seems to be at least a small reason to hope...

;)

They ended up outrebounding us and outshooting us, but that's because they were jacking up everything. For most of the game we lead in rebounding.

I'm EXTREMELY happy for our team now!! I'm just sad that it's so late in the season. Because, if we do make the playoffs it wil be like the 8th seed or 7th seed and I really wouldn't like to see us play Dallas or San Antonio in the first round. NEXT year looks GREAT for us!

Actually we were outrebounding the Bulls for most of the game. Chicago got alot of Long rebounds of their missed shots but we didn't give up too much underneath close to the hoop.
