beno i love ya man, that was a tough article in the bee today. honestly it seems like to to me your trying to hard. lets face the facts your not steve nash, your not chris paul, so your either a scoring pg or a passing pg, not both. to me your a scrappy pg that can knock down midrange jumper, get to the hole, and effectivly work a pick and roll. you were quoted saying "i should be getting 7 assists per game on my own". thats not who you are, stop playing for assists and trying to make to much happen. just let the game come to you. if you can pull up off the break for a 12 foot stop and pop, DO IT. if see a lane get to the basket, sometimes it looks like no one can stop your spin move.

i dont like setting stat goals for players but i think if you took this into consideration you could be a 18ppg 5ast type pg. very effective. basically bibby type numbers when he was here, and all the fans loved him.

common beno i got faith in you

sorry to bring up a thread from over 2 years ago.

does anyone think he can be an viable starting point guard in NBA?

i think he is a very good player, just cant see him on as a long-term solution. but i could see him having his best years in his 30's ala Steve Nash.

I love Beno. He's the long term PG for me(I mean right up til we draft Kemba "Texas" Walker (Ranger). When I think about it though, there are a lot of PGs better than him.

Yah, he's not a high flyer, and seems to be built.. Nothing about him or his joints being too skinny. I can actually see him in the league for years to come.. Possibly 7-10 years more years. I don't see why he couldn't be a contributor for most of those years, and a mentor for the remainder. It's on him though whether he wants to staick around or not.
