Ongoing saga of Luc Mbah a Moute (merged)

Not sure if serious? Didn't he ultimately retire early because of that very injury?
Not sure, but If I remember right Portland tried to move him but a heart problem was detected. Our doctors oked him. He retired due to back/knee problems but took a steep cut after the physical problems. But I could be wrong, my memory on the details is shaky... any way my point was we have done similar things in the past.

It was his knee. The Nets planned to pick him up from Portland in a sign-and-trade for a first round pick, but they rescinded the deal when the physical found scar tissue on SAR's knee. SAR insisted it had never been an issue before. We swooped in to nab him immediately afterward in a move considered by many at the time to be a coup for Petrie. SAR had one moderately productive season with us, one in a sixth man role (coming off the bench for K9! ) then forced to retire in his third season after playing only 6 games due to the knee issue.

Shareef had a six year deal with the Nets. They voided the contract based upon concerns over his knee identified during a physical. The Kings jumped in. The state of his knee and the failed physical were talked at the time the Kings signed him, but the spin from the team and KHTK was the exam showed only potential for knee issues down the road. A few years later, Shareef had issues with the knee that got progressively worse and eventually rendered him ineffective.

Bricklayer

Don't Make Me Use The Bat
This doesn't surprise me. Great defensively, but seeing him on the court is a rare occurrence.
He played in 69 games last year and 1900+ minutes.

I would assume its that knee again, but unless something happened this summer he's coming off a pretty big minute year and the pickings are extremely slim this late in FA. Wonder if we have a better plan here.

Casspi might have been signed using the room exception but it would require that the deal he just signed in Vegas isn't submitted until the rest of the cap room is used up.
This is how I understood it as well. A signed piece of paper does nothing against your cap until it's in the league's hands.

C Cuz, Koufos
PF WCS
SF Gay, Casspi, Butler
SG Ben, Bellinini, Anderson
PG Rondo,Collison

All 11 are Signed - Still one awesome 9 man Rotation and Butler/Anderson as deep bench

If there are any FA PF, someone good try to pick them up with the 2.8 mil
Moreland, Stockton are non-guaranteed contracts 12/13th players will be avail if we need them
If any unsigned Summer League players want to compete for 12/13 spot , let them
If any good players released during camp from another team pick them up

Im not sure Miller wants to come back as 3rd PG but great if he does

If my memory is serving, that one good year was the last time we made the playoffs? Didn't he start for us against the Spurs?

That game 2 was horrible. I was livid when Brent Barry hit that weird corner 3 to tie it up. It hit the rim, backboard, then bounced in for God's sake. SAR went off that game, and so did Bondi obviously

Bonzi was a beast in that series. Everything else aside, I really wanted to see more of that. I remember Artest 'carving' Sac into the side of his head :D

I have to think lrmbm being voided has to be something besides his knee.

He was only a one year deal, not much risk on a one year deal with a suspect knee.

I just hope it is not anything serious.
