One word about the NFL

Whoa. That's pretty harsh. I guess some of us just appreciate true ability more than others. I, for example, wished Leinart and Young well even though I would never root for their college teams.

Oh well...

Re-reading my statement, I hope it wasn't confused for a desire to see Quinn injured or not have an NFL career...I merely meant that I would enjoy watching him struggle mightily and not live up to expectations due, at least in part, the fact that he would be wearing the silver and black.

I think Brady Quinn has a bright future in front of him. I hate, detest and abhor the Oakland Raiders, but I would still wish Quinn well. The only times I would want him to have truly abysmal games would be when the Raiders were playing the Niners.

:)

I have nothing against Mr. Quinn personally, other than the fact that I hate, detest and abhor Notre Dame. If he played college football for just about any other program (other than Ohio St. or Michigan St., of course), I'd give him nary a thought.

I would enjoy nothing more than watching Mr. Quinn's career end before it began in an Oakland Raider uniform...

HUH? What is that about???? Do not even make me go there.

Brady is going to be an awesome NFL QB. I am probably like every ND fan around and PRAY that he doesn't go to the Raiders. Absolute worst case scenerio for him or any rookie QB... Honestly I wouldn't be upset if he pulled a Eli on them. That would be the smartest move IMO.

Go Irish!!!!!

:p

Exactly.

Why so much hate for the Irish? Oh yeah, because they're the Yankees of college football, without the evil & corruption.
We all know that Quinn is a fine specimen of a QB, but let us move back to the NFL. Is SD any good? There isn't much coverage here on the east coast.

'Cuz I'm an SC fan. :D (It's all good though. I'm sure the feeling's mutual.)
Actually, no. Irish fans respect the traditional rivalry that USC brings...even though they're money-laundering, law-bypassing cheaters.

Well, that's if one really gives a rat's patoot. Where are those Raiders fans now?

;)

Show yourselves if you dare!

I didn't care if the niners lost every game this year, BESIDES THAT ONE!

...and I did say the Niners would come back with a victory after the goose egg in KC. :D

It would also be one more thing to add to my "Things that Humiliate The Raiders... and I Love IT!!!" book.

On their way to the Golden Gate along with the dumbasses who drafted Moss with their #1 picks.

Quinn must be a Raider.

I will not stand for Troy Smith's career being put in jepordy by that crappy line.

LSHISMBOMN!*

I don't know if you're aware of it or not, but we have a bit of a tradition around here.

If you post something that causes a reader to ruin their keyboard or monitor because of their unexpected reaction to your post, you are morally required to replace the damaged piece of equipment. Where do I send the bill for my new keyboard?

Laughing So Hard I Spit My Beer On My N____ <---no clue.

The truth is often dangerous. ;) I accept NO responsibility, but I offer to dip your keyboard in some rubbing alcohol.

Very close!

Laughing so hard I spit my beverage out my nostrils... but "beer" is a perfectly acceptable substitute for beverage, especially if it's an ice cold Corona (which, BTW, I understand they're no longer serving in Arco. :( )

Damn, I'd almost forgotten about my hopes for watching Troy Smith not succeed at the next level...hmmm...bet the Texans will take him. That should work (at least for me). Actually, I'd settle for someone other than Troy Smith winning the Heisman this year (but I doubt that will happen).

Raiders and Cowboys probably have largest fan bases nationally.

They're mostly fairweather though, but large revenue generators nevertheless.

Nothing much to follow in the NFL from a California perspective, unless you're a Charger fan...

4C: True there is somebody equally worthy of Heisman love besides Troy. TED GIN JR. BABY! :)

Shattered: The Steelers have a massive nationwide fanbase actually.

LOL!

Some people follow their team regardless of how they're doing. True Niners fans have had their share of moments in the sun. We're willing to wait for those times to come again. Just how many titles do the Chargers have?

The 49ers are definitely worth following right now. They are headed in the right direction at least.
