[NFL] 2025-2026 Thread

O’Connel is on thin ice. He’s known as a pretty good coach around the league but Vikings fans are loud about how bad they want him gone. Someone has to pay for this bad season and it might be McCarthy.

They are essentially the same team as last year minus the QB. How have they fumbled the QB position so bad?
I am so hesitant even thinking about trading Mac jones but if they call the 49ers with a haul of an offer, do you consider it? This upcoming college QB draft is very underwhelming. Mac jones is gonna be in high demand.

You don’t only consider it, you take it and run.

Shanahan has “fixed” both Sam Darnold and now Mac Jones from the outcast scrap-heap to be starting commodities, he can now get Zach Wilson or whatever other bust is floating around and rehab them next.

If Jones is will to do longterm backup deal (which he probably wouldn't be), 49ers should take - having a pretty solid backup may be the difference between the 49ers and say the Bengals record-wise. If the Vikings are willing to trade CB Rodgers for Jones and money, I'd do it though - I sincerely doubt that.....

Reading Chiefs need to win all 5 remaining games to have a good chance at Wild Card......4 games and its unlikely, and 3 is almost certainly out barring a bunch of help.......I'm looking to the Texans to continue their excellent defense and deliver a near knockout for the Chiefs chances Sunday.
Gawd Bless Texas (on Sunday).

Bye week for 49ers - best matchups otherwise:

1. Bears @ Packers (Line Packers by 7)
2. Cowboys @ Lions (Thursday) (Line Lions by 3)
3. Colts @ Jaguars (Line Colts by 2)
4. Eagles @ Chargers (Monday) (Line Eagles by 3)
5. Texans @ Chiefs (Line Chiefs by 4)
6. Steelers @ Ravens (Line Raves by 6)
