My mistake. Just staying w/ a position that you had frowned upon in a prior thread. Just paying respect, believe it or not...

Why should it be such a surpise that he disappeared. No, he wasn't pouting which may or may not have been Peja's situation, but he is the victim, in a manner of speaking, of a focal shift in Sacramento.

Ron has been a great boost to the ballclub as has been Bonzi. They are fierceless warriors. All i am saying is that they all have their weaknesses. And Brad's biggest weakness is not that he isn't a warrior, but that he is more likely going to give himself over to whatever is the Agenda.

I am unsure about the Bonzi/Artest bandwagon. And Brad clearly has weaknesses. But hey let's hold up on the crucifixion of Brad Miller. Not all who wander are lost...

So Brad is the victim????

Well for $40 or $50, or whatever outrageous amount his contract his for he should at least find a way to contribute more than 3 rebounds a game and hit a few open jump shots when the team needs you.

Let me know what time the Brad Miller pity party starts, I'll bring the cheese and wine.

Why can't people discuss this without it always turning into a bunch of hateful comments made about this year's scapegoat?

2004 - Webber
2005 - Peja
2006 - Brad

THAT is what I meant by it's starting again.

Yes, Brad Miller had a pretty poor playoffs. Some are simply berating him, while othrs are trying to find a reason that might explain why his performance was so poor.

Instead of the sarcastic reply that doesn't do anything to further the discussion, why not consider the alternative Nazman has proposed?

Anyone who thinks Brad Miller wanted to go out and do poorly is a fool. These guys aren't in the NBA because they didn't care. Anyone who makes it to the NBA has had to work very hard. They have something inside them that doesn't let them give up without a fight. If they didn't, they wouldn't be part of an NBA franchise.

We may never know why it is that Brad just seemed to be playing on low batteries.

BUT, for once, could we enter TDOS without having to have a target on our own team to villefy and throw increasingly hostile comments at?

Criticize? Oh, yeah. There's room for a lot of that. But it can be done without the vitriol that some people seem to relish.

The Kings lost to a better team. They lost to the defending NBA champs, that's acceptable, however there's certain players who didn't show up. The point of a message board is to talk about the Kings, the good and the bad. The reason alot of fans are criticizing Miller so harshly is because they care about the team. The fans don't get paid millions to play, they actually pay good portions of their hard earned $ to go to the games and buy all the merchandise. It's the players who get paid huge amounts of money. Alittle hustle and effort in the playoffs shoudn't be too much to ask.

Sorry, I just don't view Miller as a victim. Not every NBA player has that something inside them that doesn't allow them to give up. Some just have the natural ability. See Lamar Odom, someone who could've been one of the games great all around players but simply didn't put forth the effort until the Suns series. Brad played very similar to Peja, both disappeared in the playoffs and didn't seem to put up very much in the hustle category.

Miller is 7 feet tall, yet he averaged 3 rebounds a game???? How can he even look himself in the mirror after such a pitiful effort? The guy isn't a victim, he's stealing $ from the team.

I am well aware of the point of KINGSFANS.COM, which is sometimes a little different than a lot of other Kings boards around. For the most part, our members prefer to discuss the shortcomings, etc. of various players without resorting to over-the-top comments that are simply insiteful and not insightful.

You can argue about Miller's poor performance all you like. All I'm suggesting is that it can be done without getting members at each other's throats.

That's it. As a moderator of this forum I'm asking for people to remember that we are, in fact, the more civilized Kings board, a true Internet community, that doesn't tear each other apart on the board. That's all...

I have always been a big Brad Miller supporter. In the past, I cringed everytime someone talked about wanting to get rid of him. I thought at one time he brought so much to the team. But this year, I have just seen a lousy effort out of him. He has been so ineffective with only a few good games here and there. I have come to the conclusion that it is probably time to move him. His aggressiveness is just not there anymore. I don't see him as a starter anymore, maybe just a role player off the bench, definately not a "core" player on this team. Well, this season is over, hoping for a much better year next year. I will be there like always watching all 82 games again with the ups and downs. Things are looking up at least.

The days of the high post are gone. There really isn't any use for a point-center who can't rebound on this team anymore.
