Oh No, TDOS has Begun :(

Aw, but this year's off-season is filled with promise and hope. And that's why it's been designated TEAOS!

The Eagerly Awaited Off-Season.

1. We get to see how long it takes to fire Musselman.
2. We get to muse about the new Kings coach.
3. We get to root for the lottery order.
4. We get to wait with anticipation to see who will be drafted for the Kings.
5. We get to see what kinds of deals Petrie will be able to make.
6. We get to hope we never see the gold lamé uniforms again.

See, those are good things.

:)

Most of all we get to argue and bicker at each other over stuff that hasn't been proved on the court yet. Thats always fun.:D

oh yeah we got Vegas summer league as well.

Heck, we will probably see the draft order ties broken, and Muss fired, on Friday alone! You can't ask for a much more action-packed start than that!

That is going to be an awesome day tomorrow if everything happens like it should and we get the lucky tie breaker thing.

This SHOULD hopefully be one of the more exciting TDOS's. As VF21 has pointed out, there are many things to look forward to.

7.At the end we get to complain how nothing major happened followed by yet another "We are all going to die" thread just before the preseason.

We are stuck in the moddle of nowhere

...sigh...

This isn't a time for piksimism. It's a time for hope. Why not wait just a little before tolling the bell on 2007-2008?

What time will the ties be broken?

I'm not sure, they seem to always do it on the Friday after the season ends, but I haven't even found it mentioned in the press until just now (I checked after you asked).

Kings involved in tie-breaking process

It's not the sort of late April action the Kings were hoping for, but it's relevant nonetheless.
After the Kings finished the season with 33-49 record and tied with Charlotte and New York for the eighth worst record in the league, a tiebreaker to determine selection order for the 2007 NBA draft will be held Friday.
The tie will be broken by a random drawing of team names at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. Drawings will also be held to break ties between Portland and Minnesota (32-50 records), Indiana and Philadelphia (35-47), New Jersey and Washington (41-41) and Golden State and the Lakers (42-40).

The NBA lottery will be held May 22. The draft is June 28 at the Madison Square Garden.

There's probably a listing on NBA TV...

Looks like the drawing will be shortly after the NBA Board of Governors meeting ends, and it's uncertain how long the meeting will run.

So no, nobody knows.

Thank god the off-season is here. This sesaon just felt really bad. On Sportstalk today, they pointed out that this is the Kings first home losing season in 13 years and is one of only 4 home losing seasons the Kings have had in Sacramento. I think that made the season seem even worse. That Arco "magic" just wasn't there so much this year.

Hopefully things will change this offseason in a way that sparks that magic again.:)

please
