At least now we have a driver for some shooting back.

I'm not really happy with this answer. They give no definitive answer on how Tyreke will be used. GP states he'll log minutes and is a multi-position player. I have been pretty high on this kid until GP talking about him. Now I'm pretty annoyed with the pick. We don't need tweeners anymore.

My guess is that was Rubio's people's call, not the Kings. If Rubios stunk it up like they say, wouldn't you think they would let up see his workout to make us all say that Evans was the right choice???
Me, too.I thought he said "I think he's gonna play at the point."
It doesnt really matter what they wanted.
The only reason they wanted Rubio is because of the name recognition. I guarantee you the crowd would go crazy if they selected Stephen Curry just because of the name recognition.

The difference is that Gavin doesnt know what hes talking about.
When is he going to tell me that Brockman will now be the next Mailman?
Gavin also said that Evans dominated the other pgs. OF COURSE HE WOULD. He has 40 lbs and 5" on the other workout pgs.

Are you kidding me? Evans is a just as popularized as Steph Curry.
The crowd went crazy for Rubio because of who this kid is, and who he can be.
When ESPN asked Rubio, "Who do you compare your style of play to?" Rubio said simply, "Well, I'm Ricky Rubio."
So 1 statement makes him god? I guess if Kenny Thomas states "well I'm Kenny Thomas" we should sign him to a 6 year 70 million dollar extension?

In 1 on 1 open court, the smaller quicker players have the advantage, so they should have been dominating Evans, not the other way around. And Evans didn't post them up to take advantage of his size. He broke them down off the driblle.
It's like saying Lebron is 30 lbs heavier and stronger than other small forwards, therefore his dominance doesn't count.

So whats your point. These were the other top point guards in the draft, minus Rubio. He'll have 40 pounds and 5" on most of the point guards in the NBA. Are you saying that we shouldn't consider him because he dominated other players we might be considering?![]()
Wow! Who is he really trying to convince?
lebron is a 3... evans isnt a 1. So its REALLy like saying lebron is 60 lbs heavier than a 2, and his dominance doesnt really count.
Great so well have Evans driving around the pgs so he can try to finish at the rim. Now where do the rest of the team fit in? Oh yeah, they dont. DX lists Evan's weaknesses as "turnover prone, poor asst/turnover ratio, poor ft shooting, poor 3 pt shooting, bad decisionmaking."
Does that sound like the makings of a successful pg?

Believe it or not, Gavin is just that enthusiastic a lot of the time. I was even at a game a couple of years back when he wore a Kenny Thomas jersey (it was right after one of KT's few good performances).
Gavin may be over the top to a lot of folks, but at least he cares. I equate him at times to Mateen Cleaves.

We now have a three-guard rotation of Beno, Evans, and Martin; with Evans switching between the 1 and 2. It's not a bad game plan. You cut down Beno's mins and give Evans some burn at the PG next to Martin. Maybe they jell, maybe they don't. If they do then bravo, best backcourt in the NBA in about 2-3 yrs. If not, deal with it then. But the point is, we have a potential star here, deal with it.
