Oh My God - Gavin Maloof on Tyreke Evans

Wow..... Horrible.. Were there a lot of boos before he came out? It sounds like he's a pissed off "me" trying to explain why i think this was a horrible pick lol.

Ok, I am generally supportive of this pick, but that was just too much. Way to not load too much pressure on the #4 pick in a shaky draft -- this guy will turn this franchise around? Always with the salesmanship.
 
Big deal. What do you guys expect him to say?

Personally, I think Petrie and the Maloofs have done a pretty good job over the years keeping us relevant. There is no reason for me not to trust Petrie when it comes to the draft (minus Douby). I guess you could say they aren't the best at free agent signings lately but... Pretty good overall I think. JMO
 
Yes, it is pretty funny and definitely over the top, but I think Gavin is actually pretty excited. I'm at least glad we have owners who care enough to get excited about our team and want to win as bad as any Kings fan here.
 
hahah What's the difference between Gavin's manlove for Evans and some fans manlove for Rubio here?????
 
Gavin should have worn a crash helmet out on the stage - that would have been special...

The guy makes me cringe when he speaks...

I was booing. :D

Half the people left after the pick. There was a big cheer when Harden went 3. There were cheers whenever Rubio was on the screen. No cheers when Evans was. So you tell me who those people wanted.

It doesnt really matter what they wanted.
The only reason they wanted Rubio is because of the name recognition. I guarantee you the crowd would go crazy if they selected Stephen Curry just because of the name recognition.

Yes, Rubio can very well turn out to be an amazing player. But, he IS a gamble.

The fans did not see the workouts, did not scout Rubio overseas and so forth, so I'm pretty sure Petrie knew a lot more than what us fans knew.
 
A part of me wants to believe that he actually doesn know what he is talking about. I can only hope his enthusiam turns into a reality.
 
Does anyone know why he came out that way? Were there a lot of Boos when the pick was announced?

I was there... the Evans pick got a lot of cheers, much more than I expected. I was afraid the crowd was going to start a RIOT South-central style if Rubio wasn't picked. Seemed like a lot of the little kids were for Rubio though.
 
so... why didn't we get to see Rubio's workout?

If Rubios stunk it up like they say, wouldn't you think they would let up see his workout to make us all say that Evans was the right choice???
