Official 2009 Draft Pick order

#96
****ing-a...

Hate this system.. might as well trade this POS pick.
I'm feeling ill right now, but maybe since Washington got the 5th pick we could shoot for picking that one up somehow as well. Getting the 4th and 5th could at least garner us some solid talent....

We'll just have to see how things play out, but I don't think I can watch the upcoming game right now. I think I'll tape it can come back when I can stomach watching some basketball.

Not that it has anything to do with this draft but Chris Paul was taken at number 4 wasn't he? Hopefully we can get a player of that caliber :).

I think us pickup up the #5 pick from Washington is very plausible, it's trading our #4 and turning it into #2 or 3 possibly that might get tricky. I see OKC taking Thabeet or Harden personally, or do they try to convert Westbrook to a SG? Memphis could use Rubio is the problem

If Griffin goes to the Clippers his career is OVER. So the Clips should go ahead and trade us straight up 1st pick for 4th pick so they don't screw up yet again. :D

Yeah, I'm ready to have this lotto system done away with. It's goal of making it so teams don't quit at the end of the season is completely lost. All it does is take away the hope of the fans that had to put up with a crappy team all year.

The light at the end of the tunnel is a train after all.

Well this is where we should try to trade up. If the Timberwolves decide that they don't want Rubio, they might be willing to drop down to 4. We do have 2 extra draft picks and some other good young players.

Perhaps something like the #2 and a bad contract from the Wolves for the #4, Cisco and maybe our second round pick. Time to start brainstorming.

It's bad news for us that we got the fourth pick, but we didn't get cheated. The same thing happens every year. It was always just wishful thinking to expect a top 2 pick anyway. But it could work out well for us that Washington got the fifth pick. That's the lowest pick they possibly could have gotten which means that pick is likely available for the right price. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I think in this draft picking #4 and #5 would be better than having just the #1 pick or the #2 pick. I think Griffin and Rubio will be great players, but I don't think they're as far ahead of the field as most seem to. If Thabeet and Jennings are both available at 4 and 5, I'd consider that best-case scenario for us. We'd get a PG and a dominant defensive player.

as long as they just bring envelopes - they can cheat and manipulate as long as they want

I am shocked they didn't give the first two picks to lakers and Cavs

I thought he showed alot of promise this year... i might be mistaken.
He definitely has some promise but i don't think they would pass on Rubio if they think he is going to be special because of Conley. Memphis does need a big man more then a point guard, but Thabeet is there if they decide to go that route. The only way i could see a swap happening is if they really like Hill.
