Oakland vs Denver

No more of that sea of yellow WE BELIEVE!" signs and tees in Oaktown this season. Loud, chanting Oracle Arena crowd of well over 20,000. The capacity is 19,000 something. They said there was additional 1,000+ standing room only requiring fire dept waiver. A.I. was definitely not intimidated for one second.

at least all of the warrior fans that have came out of nowhere in the past 2 years will go back to wherever they came

i kinda wanted GS to win though...

I have yet to comprehend why people would rather have Denver go than another California team (leaving the Lakers as the sole representative for the whole state), other than maybe pettiness about not being the belle of the NorCal ball anymore.

Its not their team i dislike its the fans. Warrior fans at least the ones i have met are so obnoxious.

I was a Warriors fan long before a Kings fan. In 1974-75 during their Rick Barry led championship year I went to several games driving down to Oakland with Sac State and UC Davis college buddies. One of my strangest memories was in the latrine standing next to another W's fan - Kenny "The Snake" Stabler. A few years earlier I was living in the Bay Area so occasional baseball games at Candlestick and the Coliseum were part of my summers. I never saw a Raiders or 49ers game as tix were almost impossible to be had. In 1985 when the Sacramento Kings were born I completely gave 100% to them over W's and pretty much all the other Bay Area teams. But I have to admit last season's exciting push by a fun GSW team made me say I was a 99% Kings fan and 1% Warriors fan.

?????

And why should "state" loyalty have anything to do with it?

Area loyalty. Norcal loyalty. Underdog loyalty. Whatever.

I'm just not buying this "rivalry" we want them to do poorly nonsense -- they spent a decade out in the NBA wilderness, and during that time we swatted them around at will, and I imagine were pretty obnoxious about it. Then they finally wake up, do something real fun last year, and now all of a sudden they are the black hat?

Occurs to me that the dumpy girl just got a makeover, and the in girl who used to feel so superior to her doesn't like the tables being turned.

I hate the Warriors because I don't like the game or the attitude of any of their players except for Ellis.

im with ya'll with this one. its not that I dislike the warriors, I just can't stand their fans.

Sorry Brick, I'm a dyed in the wool Warriors hater from near childhood. Course, I didn't grow up in NoCal. I don't hate them as much as the Lakers, maybe a shade less than I hate the Mavs (altho that's mostly Mark Cuban). Guess if I absolutely had to support a Cal team other than the Kings it would have to be the Clippers.;)

There's nothing wrong with that, this is sports.

I'm not sure who I want to root for. On one hand, Nelson did say he didn't think his team could make the playoffs without Webb a couple of months ago. Would be sweet to see that come true. I'd be more gung-ho for another Cali represenative if Warriors' fans I've come across weren't so hostile towards Kings fan's enjoying the view. Our success with Webb and Adelman left a bad taste in their mouth.

With Denver, they offered goverment cheese money for Kraft. It would be nice to see them fail to make the playoffs for not poneying up for the brand name. You get what you pay for.

Yep. I don't mind a team that's been down in the dirt for so long getting their day in the sun, fan behavior be damned.

But I admit I'll feel a little better if Denver's first-round pick that the Kings could've acquired for Artest loses more of its value.

When we were good and the Warriors were terrible I was a pretty obnoxious (albiet pretty jokingly) towards everyone I knew that were Warriors fans, and Im sure many of the rest of us who know those guys were to...It was like being able to pick on a little brother with absolutely no defense on their side.

The tables have now turned, and they are just doing the same thing back, IMO.

I actually dig the Warriors, their style of play, their rocking arena, and I want them to make it over Denver.

I guess the difference in my case is I've never given a rat's patoot about the Warriors one way or the other and don't see any reason to change that simply because of "area loyalty" or "Norcal loyalty" or anything similar. I detest Baron Davis and have never been particularly fond of Don Nelson.

I'm rooting for Boston. Bleep the Western Conference.

:p

I for one hate their style of play - dribbling upcourt and launching 3s is not basketball. But if there is one thing on that team I absolutely love - it is Baron Davis. When he is healthy and at his best, he is perhaps the most exciting player in the league.

... And they're done. Something happened between Don Nelson and Baron Davis. He sat Davis the entire second half.

I have nothing against the team but I absolutely hate the fans...

and to all those **** talking Warrior fans... "HAHAHAHA!"
