Christie is gone, Bjax is out for the forseable future, Mobley is in.

Mobly fills the Bjax role, to a tee. Instant offense, Bam Bam BAM.

Mo evans has been described as a potential d juggernaught, (I have to admit to only having been able to hear most of the games this year)

Kevin certainly has potential, especially on the O end.

Who should start, and who should come off the bench (in what order). Should we start the established starter and have MO/KM/MB coming off the bench, depending on the situation (this is what almost certainly will happen). Or should we start Evans, who can fill in some of the D role (hopefully getting increasingly better), and knows the system better; and save Cat as the sparkplug off the bench that can spell either the one or the two.

I think that at least for now it would be good to go with the 2nd option, and have cat as the first guy off the bench. But, I doubt this will happen.

Ok. I'm certainly biased. Would luv to see Kev start, but I know better. Adelman likes experience(although he's reluctant to supply it), so I can see Mobley getting the nod with Mo securing the 6th. Kev's day will come, but probably not today. Hope Im wrong! GO KINGS!!!!

btw-let's not forget about Eddie. Where does he fit in?

You know, there is an argument to be made for all three guys really, but I'm sure it will be Cat (the other arguments are Mo to start to bring athleticism and defense in place of Doug, then Cat as 6th man, or Kevin to start with Cat as a 6th man as Mo in probably his best role as off the bench hustle). You just acquired a guy capable of scoring 20ppg -- its hard to bench him, and the offense will be POTENT with him in there.

Wish there was some way to integrate some defense for this team -- if Bobby is able to make it back for the playoffs we're going to have some scary offensive lineups to throw out there. Who do you guard? Who do you help off of?

Cat to start for sure next week. I like the deal. A change for the better without upsetting the machine.

This question was raised on Grant's show last night right after GP was on. Grant's take was that you don't trade for a $6 million a year shooting guard to put him on the bench.

I think RA's logic will be cut-and-dried: we traded a starter for a starter. I would prefer to see him give Mo a couple of starts under the guise of bringing Cat up to speed...

The financial aspect will no doubt be a factor. Mobley's skills are not in question. The question in my mind is, how long will it take him to learn THE PRINCETON OFFENSE, and how long will it take for an on the court "chemistry" to develope with everyone?

P.S. I voted for Kev, but I'm biased.

I think people seriously discount the value of an explosive 6th man.

What did everyone think about Ginobli coming off the bench lasy year? Was that an insult? Wasting his talents?

I'm curious. This doesn't mean that I think starting cat is a bad thing, but everyone seems to view it as SUCH a slam dunk.

So has the Kings used Evans at the three this year at all? I've not been able to catch many Kings game as of late. You won't get the offense that Peja brings, but with a scorer like Mobley at the two spot it shouldn't have too drastic an effect on our offense. We'd be playing small ball of course.

The backcourt looks potent right now with Mobley, House, Evans and possibly even Jackson if he can get back, but we're still thin at the three.

A guy like Matt Barnes, might even get more minutes playing behind Peja now with Mobley in the line-up.

As far as who should start, with Mobley and the rest of the starters, we don't necessarily need a pick-me up scorer off the bench; it's energy and hustle that we will need. I like Mobley in the starting line-up, with Mo, House (who seems to have been forgotten after this trade), and others coming off the bench. I’m also fine with just letting things play out themselves.

I voted Mobley but I changed my mind.....

I want KevMartin to start Denver's game...shave his head first...Muscle up..Wear elbow pad, adidas shoes, have a tatoo and raise his hand, but only once ;) and be like Christie, just for one game....hehe

You start experience. I love hwt Maurice the Beast brings to the floorbut to be honest his energy is best brought in from the bench. I doubt if teams around the NBA get scared with Tag and Mo comming into the game but the Sac fans know what it means now and they can fnd out in April.

this is my take on how it might happen.
mobley gets the nod at starting 2guard, kmart relieves him
and have mo evans come in for peja at the 3
if we have evans and mobley on the floor for spurts we have defense athleticism(evans) and offensive firepower(mobley OR kmart)
has kmart and evans come in at the same time before?
i haven't seen any of the kings games this year....

or how about a line up of mobley as the 1, kmart at the 2 and evans at the 3?!?! :p -- not as the starting line up but as a line up to give teams a different look

The last couple of games Mo took shrt stents at the 3 but for themost part RA played him at the 2 and rotated Doug to either the 1 or 3 to spell Bibby and Pedja. As many min as Pedja logs it's not a huge issue but I suspect that we will Barnes comming in for Pedja unless Rick is so high on Mo that wants to run him against bigger men.

In essence the Kings now have a compleet second team, although I would say that they have lost a lot of flexablity with the decreased number of swing men on the squad.
Kings Second Squad
House PG
Mo/Kevin/House? OG
Barnes/Mo/Daniels SF
Darius/Bradley/Daniels PF
Tag C

Of course this squad will go from good to PDG once Bobby is back to pick up point and 2 gaurd... Going to be interesting to see how Adelman uses this bench dwon the streach.

I'd say Evans will start until RA feels that Mobley figrues out the offense (shouldn't take all that long). After that it just seems like we have too many SGs. Don't know how they are all going to get into the game, especially when Jackson comes back. It looks like Martin might be the odd man out come playoff time if Jackson is ready to go. I hate to see it that way, but I don't see another way it could work.

well in the playoffs, when peja goes cold having mo or martin in with mobley and bibby wont be that bad.... ra will be able to sit peja and still maintain the score..... plus, how many teams have sf's that are that tall? peja is always the tallest sf on the court except for odom and dirk who both play pf now? what? mo cant guard hassel? qrich/johnson? bowen? who? i dont see the big deal not many sf's score that much either....

I don't think there's that much of a question. I voted for Cat because he's a starting two guard, just like the guy he's replacing. I can't really think of any good reason not to give him the nod.

But tonight should be interesting. Who will start against Denver? I'm guessing Kevin will get the nod...just as he did in the pre-season.

GO KINGS!!!

Its ovious that Cuttino will start. Tonight verse the Nuggets will be very intersting to see who starts. I thinking, Evans only because he has played more minutes than Kevin, and that the fact when DC wasnt playing in the NO game, it was Mo Evans taking his spot.
