Not sure how much merit the Thunder comparisons have.

Everything the Thunder built, they built it in OKC. None of their core was drafted while they were in Seattle. They weren't able to put any type of stamp on that city before they left. The Kings, on the other hand, have left a stamp. With the drafting of Tyreke and DeMarcus, they've been able to start a connection with the fanbase again. There's something for the fans to hold onto if the team bails. Seattle was just a new start with everything. A name that has nothing to do with the franchise it was(assuming the Kings are renamed the Royals again), no players to relate to, and the franchise moved half way across the country.*
 
Uhhhh, Kevin Durant? Allen for Green (I realize he is gone too now).

Kevin Durant isn't as relevant to OKC's future as the stud known as Cole Aldrich is.

I still remember Thunder fans claiming Aldrich was the most NBA ready player coming out of the draft, when defending why ESPN gave them an A for the offseason.. when he was demoted to D league i rolled on the floor.
