Well, that would be nice, but I'm not sure if West wants a fulltime GM job anymore. Right now I believe he's a consultant for the Warriors. But if he wants the job, I'm on board. He's built a few teams in the past that were just a wee bit successful.

What would make you think that?

My thoughts are the group of owners coming in are going to hire the best person available to do the job. Jerry West is that person.

This might not be too far fetched provided that West wants a full time job as a GM because of the Vivek and GSW connection. Let's first win the bid to keep the team here and then worry about the GM and the coaching group.

It would be really great to have West. Then again, from the sounds of it Vivek would make a capable GM as well.

I have a feeling that Andy Dolich is going to be involved in some capacity. He's been quoted a few times and he has those bay area connections.

It's going to be interesting how this thing goes down. Vivek is a big believer in anticipation and being at least one step ahead in the process. It wouldn't surprise me if he had a GM and a new coach in line already. Once the NBA decision is made, it's going to be interesting how fast Vivek starts hiring people.
