new aticle in the bee regarding the Maloofs and the move.

I don't see every small market NBA owners looking to relocate the team. The fact that the Maloofs can't wait until after the CBA (one they may assist small market teams) shows it's the Maloofs and not Sacramento that is the problem.

This is true to a certain extent. What a lot of people don't realize is that most small market teams already have state of the art arenas. Memphis, Charlotte, Portland, Indy and Orlando have 5 of the 10 best arenas in the league. Sacramento and Milwaukee are the only 2 that don't and since Milwaukee's owner isn't complaining that much YET, the Kings are the team that is getting all the scrutiny. It's the combination of a bad arena, losing team, flakey owners and small market that got us here in the first place.

Wow Hammer, I would've thought that was Salt Lake City with the snow capped mountains in the back. I wonder if that shot was taken from one of the islands between Seattle and the east side or if it's from a strong lens from Seattle.

Just out of curiosity, is Ballmer part of the group that is going to buy the Hornets? This must be a very recent development.

I've heard a whisper as much about Ballmer.

The shot was surely take with a strong lens from Seattle.

And from what I have heard... it is a VERY recent development. How'd you know about Ballmer?

For those who don't know Ballmer, here's a couple must sees:

(the 46th richest man in the world at 14.5 billion)

I just go by what I read from Sonic fans when they talk about getting a new team and when talk turns to who the owner would be, his name always comes up due to being filthy rich and being an avid NBA/Sonics fan. In fact, he sold a ton of stock a few months ago and everyone thought that was due to him wanting to front money for an arena AND to buy some team. Nothing came of it at first but now after reading what you wrote, I'm thinking that maybe he's back in the mix.

BTW, where did you get this recent info? Was it someone in the know? A media member?

Not a member of the media, I'll just say that. Just word on the street. I have really have no other details. This is going to blow up the eastside even more... the arena will literally be about 5 minutes down the street from my house.

i'll forgive the maloofs if they run around like ballmer proclaiming they love the fans and the city.
