Ok, let's see if we can rationalize this. I think for the Niners to even think about winning the NFC West they have to go 4-2 in the division. So let's pretend they do.
That leaves 10 games to win at least 5 or 6.
Ravens, Bengals and Saints I don't really feel great about, but at least we play them at home. I'll be generous and say we upset one of them.
At Steelers, At Falcons, At Panthers and At Giants coming out of the bye all look like tough, but winnable road games. I say we split those.
That means it's going to come down to the last 3 of 4 games against the Vikings, Bucs and At Browns.
If we run the table on them, that would give us 10 wins and hopefully enough for the NFC west title.
