Nenad Krstic - Rising Rookie ..

I think he could become a good player. Possible starter later but as of now he is a good backup that can contribute with the playing time.

Since hes been starting and getting plenty of minutes hes been doing well. He has the ability to become a great player in this leage if he gets experience.

Nenad is the man! Its early for predictions, but he's off to a good start! If he keeps working hard, gettings double doubles n all that.. the sky's the
limit.

I must say he surpassed my expectations for this season and this is mostly because he is so fundamentally sound and has great work ethic. This is something that should keep him in the league for a long time (look at Nesterovic). However, I'm still suspicious about Krle's upside, I can't see him putting huge number game in and out.

Saw him playing against the Pistons a few weeks back. Took it inside a couple of times - got rejected horribly, kind of like certain players on a certain team we often discuss here ;) . I was worried about his self-esteem. Next time that he got the ball inside....he dunked. With authority. That showed me something, and when a spot opened up on my fantasy team, he got the call.

This month he has certainly played very well. 6 games in a row with double figures in scoring. Looks like this kid is going to be good.

He needs a lil work with those haqnds of his... How many times did the ball come off his hands? I swear a half a dozen early on... Wa about t call him Hands of Stone part3;)

When he came I taught that he won't get more that 10 min. per game. But now,he is really one of the most important players in the team and if they reach playoffs that will be pretty much because of him.
Vlade said that Krstic will be better then he was! We'll see...

Krstic was going to be the Spurs pick in 2002. They'd scouted him extensively, had him in for workouts, talk to his agnet with a guarantee that he would be their pick. Problem was they let it be known and Thorn, who hadn't had any contact with Krstic or his agent, drafted him just because the Spurs were so high on him. After the draft Spurs tried to get him in a trade but Thorn wouldn't trade. Still POs me that Thorn parasitited off the Spurs. Spurs got even the next year though. They signaled that they wanted Planicic and Thorn bit and drafted him. Spurs had no real interest in him and now Nets are still stuck with Planicic.

Well, then the Spurs made a mistake, I think that Krstic is already better than Nesterovic ever was.

Better offensively to be sure. Or will be soon if he's not already. But that's not why the Spurs got Rasho. They are a defense all the time franchise and needed a twin tower shotblocker to team with Duncan to maintain their shut down the interior defense.

Oh ok, I was wondering why the Spurs got him anyway ...
