Need picture of......

This mixture of dog food, soy sauce, ketchup, and mustard left an awful stench on the vet's ride. There was chocolate on the car, too, with one ingredient being added by Jackson after the damage was done: hot water.
 
This kick looks stupid IMO. The Kings are one of if not the worst team in the league, entire franchise teetering, whole world economy near depression, and these millionaire players giggle to this joke. :eek: Donte Greene seems to be a really good KID but considering everything I doubt Kings organization find it all that amusing - especially if there's more tit for tat.

Greene should be fined for this dumb sophomoric stunt or shipped back to Reno for a few games as a reminder of why the NBA is for adults not children. Bjax has right to retaliate but hopefully a cool vets head prevails and all the foolishness ends immediately. Greene needs to grow up, except his rookie low man of the totem poll status and end all the class clown jive.

Really? I seriously hope you have some terrible sense of sarcasm... or else you have no sense of humor at all. Were you mad at Bobby Jackson for putting popcorn in JT's car? Donte's car? Oh, but he is a veteran, so he is allowed to do it?

Seriously man, just because Donte retaliated doesn't warrant being sent back to Reno or even being fined. At least he didn't mess up the interior like Bobby did.

Get rid of the fun from this team! They are the worst in the league, they should suffer! They shouldn't be able to laugh at all, god forbid actually having fun at work! Hell, fire Bobby and exile him from the city for initiating this!

As an ex-sailor and proud Shellback, I utterly endorse hazing. But hazing is veterans handing down to rookies/newbs/wogs, not the other way around.

Greene doesn't have the cache to get any getback on Jackson.

Woah, calm down for a second. You're taking this too personally it seems. Lighten up, the kid has a good heart. It probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, going against his superior but I'll leave BJax to deal with him. If you don't like how far this has gone then maybe you should get mad at the Kings for letting BJax start these pranks and continue them. Donte called it out in an interview earlier this week after BJax got him that he was going to retaliate - the Kings/Vets/Bjax should have stepped in at that point if it is such a problem... Personally I think it wasn't very imaginative payback

I hear you on this, and agree with you... I think his age and immaturity got the better of him this time
 
All it takes to clean up popcorn is a little time and a vacuum. There is no lasting odor or possibility of damage. What Greene did was immature, childish and totally out of line. Shame on him...

The Kings have done innocent hazing for years. Donte needs to check himself.

Hardly. If Bobby had screwed with my ride my "joke" would have been to have his delivered to one of those car crushers they have down at the junkyard. My responses to attempted hazing have ranged from defiance to almost breaking the nose of the chapter head of a frat with my elbow. I would salute Donte for utter defiance were it not for the lack of originality and sneaking suspicion that he is probably still having fun. If you're going to have fun and play the game, then the game is vets get to screw with you and not the other way around. If you're going to set your feet and say screw the game don't **** with me, then I've got your back.

I don't know what sort of ponces you went to college with, but I'd have loved to see something like that at a line-crossing ceremony.
 
Why not? I think I would quite enjoy seeing what happened when a wog tried to elbow a Shellback. But then, I do quite enjoy a good scrum.
 
Why cant Donte do this to Bjax? Bobby started it.

Greene just had a baby and his car gets 'pop corned' because he forgot to bring the vets fruit? give me a break... the 'vets' dont deserve a thing this year anyways.

Its all fun and games, I HATE 'rookie rules' in the NBA. Rookies get called for soft fouls because there rookies, and on the offensive end they dont get calls cause there rookies.. thats rediculous, a foul is a foul ... This is the same deal IMO.

Maybe it's just my hot-blooded youth showing, but I've always despised the "tenure over talent" philosophy. In no way do I advocate sitting back and watching less capable veterans **** you over.
 
The acidic nature of some of the things that he put on the car could break down the clear coat and leave lasting staining. That's messed up to do to an AMG. Bobby didn't do any permanent damange to a much lesser vehicle.

And, MassKingsfan...why can't Donte do this to Bobby?? Because, he's a Rookie. Plain and simple. Ever vet should take turns doing something to him every day untile the end of the season for this.

I think it's not about getting all worked up or bent out of shape. The consensus seems to be that Donte took it a bit too far by retaliating against a vet. I'm not sure I've ever heard of an NBA rookie going so far. Some found it to be totally harmless, even down right giddy amusing. That's fine since everyone's opinions here should be respected when argued civilly. Others wonder if it will now escalate into the some kind of absurd joke just like the Kings season has degenerated into. That's all;)

People are discussing it which is what people do on message boards.

It's not just joking around when it could involve damage to the vehicle. And it's not just joking around when a rookie decides he's above a LONG-STANDING tradition and retaliates for something as innocent as popcorn, which as I stated above is pretty tame and easy to clean up.

There is a pecking order on every team in the NBA and Donte Greene tried to cut in line. And he turned a harmless prank by Bobby into some kind of one-upmanship contest that was IMHO not at all in keeping with tradition.

It's this kind of thing that can actually work AGAINST team chemistry. Every single rookie in the league has had his turn; it's a rite of passage. Greene needs to grow up and accept it as his turn; he had NO RIGHT whatsoever to get even with Bobby J...
 
You don't mess with a man's vehicle. That's his private property. Tradition be damned, if you mess with my private property, you have no recourse to protest any form of retaliation I choose. Rookie pranks are expected and understandable, but you cross a line when you break into Donte's vehicle and fill it full of a buttery, salty substance (and let's be fair, who can better afford a new car, Donte or Bobby?). Jackson's lucky that Donte has a positive, light-hearted attitude, and did nothing more than return the favor. Other folks might not be so forgiving.
 
I think Donte's prank on Bobby is much easier to clean since it did not even get to the inside of a car. It's a single pass to the car wash and those stench will be gone. Pop corns inside your car is much more difficult to clean up even if you have a good vacuum cleaner. Coz you have to almost take every stuff out of your car first then vacuum it. That's much harsher invasion of privacy.

Being a nice guy does not involve being a doormat. If I thought I could sniff any hint of legitimate rebellion and/or demand for respect from Donte, him taking on a vet who assaulted him first would have my full support. But Donte seems too much the happy to be here kid, and it seems more likely this is all just a big hoot for him, at which point both the outrage and the congrats are likely misplaced.
