I will admit right off that I have not watched that much Tarheel basketball this year. Are they really THIS good or has Oklahoma just rolled over and played dead? I really was hoping for/expected a MUCH better game.

North Carolina is a MUCH deeper team than Oklahoma who has a very weak bench. Odds makers had the Heels favored by 7 going into the game. Hansborogh was able to sit for a good chunk on the first half with 2 early fouls and rested some more by Coach Roy Williams at liberty in second half as UNC was on cruise control up by 12-14 it seemed like entire game. UNC is that good.

Louisville has left me shut out of the Final Four. How embarassing. Nowhere to go but down in my pool, I think I had a very outside chance of at least a top 3 spot had Louisville made it to the final and Oklahoma won today. At least I have hockey to keep me going in college athletics... and will keep rooting for Nova as long as they last.

Well except for 1 first round game I had that entire bracket called right until that one.

Yeah, Louisville screwed up my brackets all day. I had the men to win...they lost. I had the Louisville women to lose...they won.

Well, to show I am not a sore loser, let me just say right now......

I picked VU for the final four as well. But then again, my heart has always been w/ VU. Spent much of my youth on their campus working, playing hoops, looking for women, but ended up going to school in Philly...

Henkel's got the league victory sewn up based on the league rules, but if North Carolina wins the championship then based on Yahoo points (the regular scoring system) Kingzrool and Rockmeister would tie with 134 points. We'd have to see the final score to know who wins. Piksi would be in third with 133 points.

If North Carolina doesn't win it all, then the most you would have is 102, which is less than the 115 Henkel will have in about 10 minutes.

Wow... such a huge blowout nobody even had a comment on it. Congratulations to North Carolina. They played pretty darn well and earned the championship.


As to our little game here, congratulations to Henkel. Some good upset picks early and solid picks later on led to an overall score of 100 group points with our new funky scoring system.

In the standard Yahoo scoring system... we had a tie between Kingzrool and Rockmeister with 134 points each. The tiebreaker used the combined score in last night's game to determine that the winner was... Rockmeister.

Well done everybody. Thanks for playing. I enjoyed it a lot with so many participants.
