Gah! Stanford just suffered a tough 2 point loss to Berkeley on Thursday followed by a devestating 4 point loss at Gonzaga tonight. This could be the end of Stanford's 11 straight NCAA tourny appearance streak - the 5th longest in the country.

Morrison is legit. I don't buy the Bird hype, but he killed us tonight.
I'm not sold on Morrison. The guy is good, no doubt, and he's got a deadly stroke, but Grunfeld shut him down for much of the game and with his limited athletic ability and quickness I question his ability to get too many shots off against NBA competition. I think he'll be a legit bench player and maybe crack into the starting lineup but I don't see him as All-Star material, let alone all-time great Bird-like material.

Keep in mind he does most of his damage against WCC competition. Let's wait and see how he performs in the tourny to judge. Reddick puts up the same numbers as Morrison, but he does it in the ACC.

LOL I do believe QF is... who does that anymore?
I don't know about you, but I am often in the habit of arguing with myself. :D

Again I bring up the success of UCB...second in the pac-10, and only down by a half a game. Even ESPN was smart enough to put us in the Tourney, although only at a nine seed. Hopefully Cal can finish out hte season by winning five of six, and possibly winning the pac-10 outright. Only have only lost to one team, Arizona...

That's my take as well. What separates him from Dunleavy? The moustache? Furthermore, Gonzaga will not make it past the Sweet 16. If they get a #1 seed, they will be the first top seed out.

Agreed. And please don't compare him to Dunleavy.

Full Moon Rising

The tenacious and unflappable Villanova Wildcats are moving forward. My hometown Wildcats where my best bud and 3 brothers graduated. How did i end up at Drexel?

At any rate, huge win tonight over #1, much taller and most intimidating Connecticut Huskies.

Pay attention to these Villanova Wildcats cause it's quite a story. They are showing the nation what Heart can do in that league...

We are riding on one spectacular wave at the moment. Go VU...

Nova took down UCONN.....looks like we have to suffer with Duke at #1 again.

Here's a poll Question: Is Morrison's mustache more porn star or more child molester?

QF - Are you arguing with yourself?
haha no I wasn't arguing with myself, I was just adding to what I said in the previous post... I don't think my two posts are in contradiction, are they?

I'm withholding judgement on Morrison and Gonzaga in general until I see how they play in the tourny.

Nevada just took the solo first place lead in the WAC last night. One of the best games I've seen live in a long time in person.

They have home court advantage during the WAC tourney this year, and even if they don't win it they have a good shot of making the NCAA tourney again.

IU has went into the toilet as of late and they are getting worked by Illini... That bad part is IU actually has a good group of players. Thank god its Davis's last year. Brighter days ahead I hope, this is just another of my favorite teams that have let me down this year.

With only 4 games left it looks like IU has kissed their chances at a bid goodbye.

Very nervous about the big rematch today in Connecticut w/ my beloved Villanova Wildcats. Nobody gives the overmatched Cats a chance and they're playing in the smaller arena up in CT. Does not Bode (Miller) well for the Cats but i will be there in front of my TV screen hoping for the best. Cats are fun to watch. Small, aggressive and efficient. Maybe they can make this a game and end up in the heralded mix of TopSeeds in the upcoming NCAA...They got enough heart to be the nation's "You gotta believe (ers)...

I LOVE it when Duke loses!!! HOWEVER . . . It does make me nervous for my Heels this weekend.
Also, eventhough I am a Carolina fan to the core, I was nervous for the team when the fans came on the floor the first time. NOT GOOD. I want the Devils in top form when we beat them so there will be no excuses when they lose!!

Great win for the Noles tonite but can't the students read the game clock? I know they were excited but that could have become very ugly.
I was on pins and needles when all the students rushed the court too. I guess we're still neophytes when it comes to winning in basketball.

With this big win, now FSU must win at Miami on Sunday and possibly win one game in the ACC tourney to crash the big dance. From there, I can see a similar run like they made in 1998 (but hopefully with a second round win).

Being the huge Villanova fan that i am i would respectfully remind you that i 'believe' VU had that big NCAA quarterfinal game (i think it was the quarters) against NC won last year. They played their hearts out and lost it on a controversial call at the end of the game. NC goes on to win that game and the tournament. Would love to see those two meeting again for a rematch this year. It's all good. Every NCAA tourney match is a dogfight but that's one i would love to see. Wish you well and glad NC beat Duke....
