What are the odds the kings open up on the road again with a 3 or 4 game road trip for the what 7th year in a row? I did read today that the knicks will play on christmas day hosting the bulls. Wonder what the other 4 christmas day games will be? You can bet one of them will be heat vs lakers.

Does this include the television schedule as well, or does that come out at a different time?

The Kings better get to open up at home this season or the NBA gets another really nasty e-mail from me.

Grant just said he thinks they will be on the road to open the season again because of Arco's schedule and the NBA changing the opening day to earlier than last year.

I have a feeling it will be a Texas road trip to start the season.. Houston probably first, and then SA and Dallas back to back. If not the TX road trip we have all grown to love it will probably be a Minnesota, Utah then Portland thing.

Boston/Lakers and Heat/Orlando would be my guess as to the marquee matchups on XMas.

I think it will be Laker/Heat and Boston/Orlando for the matchups on XMas.

Well, I would wager a bet that all 4 of those teams are playing, but they usually have a rematch of the Finals on xmas.....this year, you might be right though.

Well there are five games no on Christmas day. Already confirmed is Bulls at Knicks, my other guesses would be Heat at Lakers, Magic at Celtics, Suns at Blazers, Spurs at Mavs

Yeah, I heard that. He doesn't think it matters either. I'd just like to see the very first game of the Kings season at home for a change. It matters to me, so there. :p

Yeah, although they did have a Kings/Lakers match the Christmas after our 2002 series with the Lakers.

According to spearsnbayahoo twitter feed sources tell yahoo sports that lebron and the heat will open up the season oct 26th at boston and game 2 of that opening night tnt doubleheader will be yao ming and the rockets at lakers. John Wall and the wiz open up at orlando oct 27th.

Also I remember going to the mavs at kings christmas 2003 and the mavs won. Boy did that put a damper on my christmas :(

NBA schedule coming out later today!

just heard it on sportscenter. they said Celtics-Heat opening night on TNT, then Heat in cleveland dec. 2 on TNT. but thats all that was confirmed so far.

cant wait to see how many national tv games the Kings get, and hopefully the opener at home for once.

The Kings never get a home opener... I just hope for a pair of nationally televised games... or maybe more...

The buzz surrounding the new-look Kings continues to grow as Sacramento is among a select group of teams slated to play nationally-televised holiday games during the 2010-11 season.
The NBA announced on Tuesday Tyreke Evans, DeMarcus Cousins and the Kings will take on Mike Bibby, Al Horford and the Hawks in Atlanta in a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day matinee to be broadcast on NBA TV at 1 p.m. PST on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011.

Just to aware you that most of the teams in the league are involved in the making of the schedule to some extent to help them schedule around other events/concerts that have already been scheduled maybe 10-14 months ahead of time. I am a Milwaukee Bucks fan and for over the past 20 years the Bucks have requested to the NBA schedule makers that their first home game of the season be on a Saturday night. I've been to the last four home openers in Milwaukee and the reason the Bucks request that is because they feel that if they schedule their home opener on a weekend rather than a week day they will have a better turnout than if it were a week day game because of the small market. The Bucks may have 1-3 games to start the year out on the road but that first Saturday of the season is always at home. So the Kings may actually request that to get a better turnout for their first game.
