How naive/argumentative do you have to be to question
@GWD for wondering why a pro sports team/business would be wearing uniforms not directly advertising their organization on a date that doesn’t have historical significance with MLK’s name? Furthermore, how naive do you need to be to not recognize that there’s a non-basketball slant to it?
I certainly hope nobody has a serious problem with what MLK stands for (I surely don’t), but to act as if invoking the name on random dates that aren’t historically relevant to the person’s memory is somehow relevant to the business being conducted is awfully disingenuous.
If the Hawks began randomly wearing uniforms with GOD printed on the front because, well, they are located in the heart of the bible belt — would you question gwd or anyone else for wondering about that too?
Rhetorical question, because I’m sure you would.
