NBA Injuries

#1
Chet Holmgren Out 8-10 Weeks
Kevin Durant: Out 1-2 Weeks
Zion Williamson: Out indefinitely
Kawhi Leonard: Out indefinitely
Ja Morant: Out 1-2 Weeks
Paolo Banchero: Out 4-6 Weeks
Tyrese Maxey: Out 2-3 Weeks
Scottie Barnes: Out 2-3 Weeks

Hope Monk is day to day, A.Davis status with his eyes is a bit unknown, there are other players that are also "out" for quite some time (almost half the Pelicans squad Murray, Jones, Murphy, Hawkins apart from Zion), hope for the sake of the players that this thread will not be updated so often.

I feel bad for Chet, dude was on pace to win Defensive player of the year.
I don't think anyone can be surprised to see Kawhi, Ja, or Zion on that list. All three routinely miss big chunks of seemingly every season. Durant is 36 with a long injury history as well. Banchero having a torn oblique is a tough blow for the Magic, but Holmgren is the probably the toughest injury, both for the time he'll miss and how much he means to OKC.

One thing I love about Chet is that he's tough as nails and doesn't back down even with his slight frame. But I think he's going to continue to have these sort of freak injuries just because he's not built to absorb that kind of contact and I don't think he'll ever be able to put on a lot of weight/muscle.

Chet is a beast for sure. He's fun to watch and hopefully there's no long-term impact on him after he recovers from this in 10 weeks. Anything hip, knee, ankle or shin related though scares the hell out of me for big guys. There's just too much evidence out there already that you can't pin your franchise's future on a PF/C. The big guys who stay relatively healthy for their whole careers are the exceptions.

Middleton also hasn't played yet this season, he's definitely been injury prone the last number of seasons so it's no surprise there but Milwaukee is clearly missing his scoring and floor spacing
