Bargnani tore a ligament in his left arm on a failed dunk attempt and is out indefinitely. deadspin made a brilliant tribute video for his season as a Knick (said failed, hilarious dunk attempt is the first "highlight" in that vid):

That Bargs dunk attempt is ridiculous. He started that thing out like three feet further from the hoop than he should have AND tried to dunk over three dudes like he's Lebron. I'm not one to applaud injuries but if anyone ever did deserve to get injured for doing something dumb, it would be Bargnani on that dunk

Carmelo Anthony has set a new Knicks franchise record with sixty-two points, breaking the record previously held by Bernard King.

Mopey Kobe may be the best thing to come out of this basketball season (aside from the rebirth of the Kings of course)

Is luc injured or just out of the wolves rotation tonight? Seems as if he hasn't been the player the wolves thought they needed for the playoff push

the Wizards are HILARIOUS! that was their, what? fifth attempt to get over .500? sixth? and in their quest they've been denied by some of the very worst teams in the NBA (no offence meant, Liam). they are so very clearly going to end their season 41-41.

P.S.: what the hell, Terrence Ross? what the hell?

Career high for Anthony Bennett: first game of his career with double-digit points. Cavaliers lose at home to the Pelicans, though.

I can only imagine how this forum would react if Ben scored in double digits for the first time this late in the season.

Ben has three games with double digit scoring:

1-22-14 - 11 pts. against Houston
1-26-14 - 18 pts. against Denver
1-27-14 - 14 pts. against Utah

Those are just his games this month in double digits. His first game in double digits was Nov. 2nd (19 pts). Tonight was Bennett's (the 1st pick in the draft) FIRST game in double digits.

Oh...you mean as in first game EVER...

Ben will get criticized no matter what. Both Bennett and Mclemore are rookies and I don't think much should be made of either's progress. The fact that Bennett was picked #1 is not his fault.

at some point, you just have to feel for the Spurs. being so injury depleted that you start Othyus Jeffers? sheesh!

Jeez what weak All Star selections for the East reserves. DeRozan's first time scoring 20 a game and he makes it in shooting 42% while the rest of his numbers look like something Kevin Martin would put up. If they are going to put in a Raptor guard they could have put in Lowry who deserves it much more.

Then Paul Milsap is making it in with his career averages he'd put up for the Jazz a couple seasons prior. Is the East really that weak up front? If Cousin's played in the East he would've been a lock. Am I missing something about his impact or are the coaching just pulling names out of a hat?

Also Joe Johnson getting in on reputation alone.
