Indeed. I don't view VanVleet as a role player. He's a quality starter, imo. He's very good at coming up big in big games.

just because he played like their second best player for one game doesn't change what he is. Raps players will get their numbers without Leonard, it won't always be Van Vleet but there will be nights where Siakam will get help from the likes of Gasol or Anunoby

The Mavs/Wizards game turned out to be closer than I thought it would be and I can't tell if it's because the Wizards are better than I thought they would be or if the Mavs are worse than I thought or if it's just first game wackiness.

I mean, Beal was 9 of 25 and the rest of the Wizards roster is pretty much poop and it still took a 34 point night from Luka to beat them.
