[NBA] Comments that don't warrant a thread (OCT/NOV)

KoC really comes up with some of the worst takes in basketball on a daily basis
We can clown KoC for a lot of stuff, but he's not wrong here. If McCain is a star, you do not give a flying F what TDS/Dunn and co are. McCain would probably be the guy you trade, but the goal as always is to draft a good player and hope that dude develops into a star, regardless of "need".

Agreed. Especially since Philly is locked into competing now with Embiid/George. I said years ago they should have tried to trade Embiid while his value was ascendant. Some GM out there would have fooled themselves into thinking that their training staff was better equipped to manage Embiid's frailties and that they could extend his competitive window before injuries crater his career entirely. But Philly held course and now they need every asset they can get in order to maintain flexibility on the trade market. There's nothing else they can do, at this point. You draft BPA and restock your cupboards so you can try and swing whatever moves might keep you competitive while Embiid still has legs to play on. I will say that Philly is so fortunate they play in the east. Even with their awful start to the season, if they can ever get Embiid, George, and Maxey on the court at the same time, they'll probably rise into the playoff picture.

I still can't believe they brought him back just 2 months after a meniscus tear. And then they let him play in the Olympics too. Why take these kinds of chances? He might never fully recover from that.

Chauncey Billups just challenged a call on the floor against the Blazers and turned it into three free throws for Trae Young.

eta:Sharpe with 32 and one hell of a finish on both ends. Blazers win 114-110.

So Bud started the match with Plumlee and Nurkic together in the lineup, something similar with Len/Sabonis that MB did in the previous Minnesota match. I didn't see the match (just saw the "notif" from some fantasy sites), and I wonder was that effective this time? The plus/minus is ok for both, even their rookie had good numbers coming from the bench and Booker probably studied Fox game but like HIM came close to win it all on his own. Wolves face the Raptors after that i don't think they can do the same trick pairing Poetl with another center in the lineup. Seeing Randle numbers I think that the experiment didn't work this time either.

He won a championship with 3 hall of famers nearly two decades ago and has been riding that wave ever since. Hasn’t done much since except largely underachieve.
yeah maybe the Celtics would have 2-3 to show for it had they had a different coach is my takeaway 16 years later.

Cleveland finally realized trying to chuck three's with Boston wasn't going to cut it so they kept attacking the paint and made a game of it, stopped going in the paint or converting in the last number of minutes but that is the winning formula for them. Took a while for the game to get good but it delivered.
