If it was up to me we would just have equal odds for all non playoff teams including the “play in” losers. Stop incentivizing teams to lose, it’s pathetic in a competitive sport. The idea of the lottery is to help the worst teams get better but If you help a mediocre team become a playoff team with a top draft choice that is just as if not more beneficial to the league.
