Westbrook has had a triple double in all 5 of the Wizards games to start the season and the net result is 0-5. He has to be top 3 all time in terms of empty stats dating back to two seasons ago when he was on a nightly triple double watch and making history with Oscar.

imagine that, no Westbrook and his nightly triple double and the Wizards get their first W. Meanwhile, this may be the season where the Suns break their 8 year Playoff drought.

Maybe we all laughed off the Hawks as an 8-seed contender a little too early. Whoooooped the Nets tonight.
I doubt it. They'll be a fun team in the regular season and may claim a top 4 seed but in the playoffs their defensive shortcomings will be magnified.

Top-4 seed before getting bounced is still better than “I guess maybe an eight seen in the weaker conference” I was seeing a lot of. Certainly not proclaiming them a contender for anything!

To be fair it is still way too early in the season to make any conclusions either way. Rondo hasn’t even had a chance to throw someone under the bus to get more playing time yet.

Ha! Do you think Rondo would actually throw someone under a literal bus to get playing time, like, Tonya Harding style? I can kindof see it happening and he's still one of my favorite players. :D

Well, we knew that they weren't going to go winless, with Westbrook in the lineup... I didn't expect their first win with Westbrook to be against a team that was ranked in the Top 5, but I did expect it to be a game in which Westbrook stopped hunting for triple doubles.

D Cousins is up to his old tricks, whining, and throwing his weight around. This time it was pushing WCS around that cost him the first technical. Then in the softest and most questionable technical of all time, Cousins bullies his way to the basket with the ball, goes around 2 defenders and gets called for his second T. He then gets ejected. Maybe the most ridiculous ejection that has ever been made.

There can be no doubt that having a career of whining and complaining costs players some calls. But this was something else. The video is around somewhere.

So... you stipulate, in your own words, that the technical which got him tossed was questionable, but you think that the story is, "Cousins is up to his old tricks"? Okay, then.

Mr. S Citrus,
The first technical was Cousin doing what he always does. The second technical was phony as a 3 dollar bill, because his reputation always precedes him. That is the point.

Would it be giving Rick Carlisle too much credit to presume he inserted Willie into the starting lineup with the intention of fishing out a Cousins ejection? Past teammates with history + Demarcus being Demarcus adds up to pretty good odds at Boogie losing his cool I think.

Feels like he put WCS in the starting lineup more because he finally realized after like four seasons that Dwight Powell really really sucks (especially after his major leg injury last season). Not that Willie is much better but at least he's a lob threat on offense
